The door to the room they were in swung open, interrupting their conversation. The light from the hallway hurt Cecilia's eyes, as she had been sitting in the dark for some time now, waiting for Gayle to wake up. As her eyes adjusted, she watched Oscar drag in a man who was fighting against his hold on him.
Being that he was human, this man did not have the strength to fight Oscar and looked like a child flailing against a parent. "Let go of me!" he cried out as he attempted to punch at him. Oscar only tightened his grip on the back of the man's neck, causing him to choke.
"Gayle, I am so happy that you are awake now. I am sure you must be starving," Oscar teased.
"I will not play your game. Leave us. I will not feed from that human," Gayle responded, turning her head away from him. "You might as well free him."
