Jonathon slung Jackson roughly down on the hard floor before Jared's feet. He used the napkin that he plucked from Jared's table to wipe his fists clean of Jackson's blood. Much to his annoyance, he had ended up having to subdue Jackson while on the way back to the castle because the fool had tried to throw himself out of the window.
"What is this? I told you and Magnus to check on the farms," Jared said angrily as he sipped from his wine glass. He glanced down at the bloody and bruised vampire on the ground before him, and his lip curled disdainfully at the sight.
"We did that and found that he was tracking us. He carries a similar weapon that Magnus' assailant held," Jonathon explained throwing the blade onto the dining table in front of Jared. Jared sneered at it and nudged it off the table away from him. "I brought him here for questioning since I would think you would like the privilege of torturing one of the men responsible for Beatrice's assault."
