Jonathon awoke before Cecilia. He yawned and stretched. Cecilia stirred momentarily against him. After dinner, Jonathon forwarded his reports to Magnus and the last locations of insurrections. He still was on the fence about trusting him, but he knew Magnus would get the job when he was being serious. Still, Magnus lacked tact and was a shoot-first, ask-questions-later type of man which made the investigation an even more difficult task.
‘Hopefully, he doesn’t get himself killed,'?Jonathon thought as he looked down at Cecilia lying next to him. He smiled slightly as he moved her hair out of her face. She was a mystery to him. She was different from any woman female he met, vampire or not.
Jonathon bit her neck softly. Again, the blood put him into a sensory overload. His hands roamed her body earning moans from Cecilia as she began to wake. Jonathon jerked as she felt her grab him again. He turned her over to face him when there was a loud knock on the door.
