"Well if this isn't a good way to start the morning, this is the only reason I have breakfast with you guys ", I said laughing.

"So you mean to start a quarrel for your amusement ?", asked Edmund.

"Precisely am glad someone as some humor in this household", I said.

"You are a nut case ", said Edmund snickering.

"Well what can I say I learned from the best ", I said smiling at him.

"What plans do you have for today ?", asked Elijah shifting the conversation from Edmund to him.

"Well I have to go to the hospital, I enrolled to start a nursing practice there ", I said.

I had forgotten to mention to my brothers what my interests were and I was about to know why I should never do that.

"And you didn't think it was good to mention it to me ?", asked Edmund looking pissed.

In some weird way, he always managed to make everything about himself. Did a person die? He would bring the conversation back to himself at the end of it all.

"Well sorry, I didn't know that you were interested in my life brother ", I said smirking.

"You just can't go around making decisions like that without saying a thing Katelyn ", he said looking infuriated.

"Well, I don't think I was supposed to ask for permission to do the things that I want. You kill however you want without asking how it will affect any of us maybe I thought that was how things worked around here ", I said glaring at him.

"So this is something you did because you were mad at me? Yes I have killed some of your boyfriends but they wronged me and did things against my warnings they deserved it ", he said smiling like it was something to be happy about.

"Not everything is about you, Edmund. The world does not revolve around you for fucks sake, get a grip on yourself.

I do not care if you killed my boyfriend or what they did to deserve that. All I wanted to hear from you was, congratulations I hope it works out .", I said getting angry.

"Then again maybe that is too much for you, you don't know how to be happy about other people's success. Maybe it is the reason you are all alone. No one likes you or loves you ", I said.

"Oohhh honey I am not alone everyone loves me and likes me you got this all wrong you are the one who isn't loved", he said smirking.

"Well is that the reason why you have killed every one of my boyfriends so that I could only focus on you ?", I asked him.

"No they were just not good enough for you and it's better to heal from someone dead than one who is alive ", he said smiling.

"That's a weird way of showing that you care but it's not shocking you have done it over and over again that I am already used to it.

Should I get another boyfriend so that you can determine if he is worthy of my love?", I asked him.

"Yes, it's been a while", he said.

"Unbelievable, how do you still fight for him I think we could be better off without him don't you think?", I asked Elijah and he chuckled.

"Well I will fight for my family until my last breath and that includes him too even if he is insufferable ", said Elijah.

"I don't think am part of the family then because I swear nothing would make me happy than seeing his suffering for all eternity ", I said looking at Edmund.

"We can't get everything that we ask for now can we ?", asked Edmund sarcastically.

"Am happy you are trying to do what you love I hope it works out ", said Elijah.

"Yeah I hope too ", I said smiling at Elijah.

"Is that friend of yours going to be there ?", asked Edmund.

"Why do you ask ?", I asked him.

"No reason I haven't seen her around here maybe I would just come and say hi ", he said chuckling.

"Since when do you say hi, what do you want with my friend ?", I asked him glaring at him.

"Why are you so pressed about it can't I just have fun ?", he asked.

"No Edmund you can't have fun with my friends. I thought we made that clear in the past or didn't you get the memo. Aren't you with Alicia ?", I asked him.

"We are not in an exclusive relationship so I can mess around with who I want ", he said.

"Oh my God, how are we even related, you disgust me. My friend isn't going to be your play toy so just stay away from her she doesn't even like you ", I said scoffing.

Erin hated his guts she could not shut up about him. Every time she told me she wondered how I managed to live with him. I told her the same thing I told myself "I don't know how".

"Oh, darling is that what she tells herself, that she doesn't like me ?", he asked.

"Yes that's what I said right ", I said.

"Well trust me she wants me and the day you will see her leaving my room you will know that I know when someone wants me and when they don't which has never happened ", he said smirking.

"That's gross, I'll just leave ", I said as I stood up from the table.

"Tell her I said hi she should come by more often we miss her food ", said Elijah.

"I will ", I said as I carried my bag and left, and behind me, I could hear Edmund asking why I couldn't say hi to Erin when he asked me to but was willing to do it when it was Elijah.

I was happy to start at the hospital and see Erin but it was something else that had gotten me excited.

I was going to see Mateo and I know it was not good but why would I deny myself something that I craved. Like Edmund had said. It was just sex, right?
