HEMERA’S POV
I ended up locking myself in my room the rest of the night. It's not much, but James did bring my things here, so at least I'm back in my old clothes. Barely much of a change, but they're mine.
As pathetic as it sounds, I threw myself on the bed, movie princess style, and just lay there the entire night. I may have fallen asleep at some point, but I genuinely don't know. I wanted to go out and confront Nia, but I just couldn't get myself to move from my spot. I hated it.
At what I presume to be morning, knocking comes from the door, and Nia's voice filters through the wood. "Hemera? I'd like to talk. Can I come in?"
"Is that thing about vampires true then?" I call out instead of answering his question.
Silence.
"Pardon?"
"Is it true that vampires can't enter a space without permission?"
