SHRANAIA’S POV
Rara showed up in front of me with an arnis in both hands as I was about to leave the cabin. Because of that, her brow furrowed, and she handed me an arnis, which I also took. I don’t know whether to laugh or be annoyed because I just woke up. I looked at Ron and Ran, who were behind her, and then I gave them an evil look.
“Do you know what you’re doing?” I said, irritated, and the two of them nodded. “Are you annoying me? You’re going to blow up in the morning, and this is actually your opening to me?”
“We’re simply seeing if you can keep up. It’s simply that it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Anyway, Jenny and Eliot will be sent home later, according to Vixen. They are no longer in danger, and their adversaries are nearby. He also stated... you need to train,” Ron replied, and I nodded.
I sighed as the three of them went. Perhaps it isn’t about what occurred last night. Nonetheless, I’ll never forget what he said to me that night. Something that bothers both my mind and my heart. He’s not difficult to love, yet he gets in the way of what I want to pursue. I closed the door and prepared myself while holding my head.
I stepped outside to look around once I finished getting ready. Before leaving, I took a big breath. I walked to the field where Vixen was, and there were also Ron, Ran, Rara, Jenny, Gena, and Eliot. Alpha and Luna have also arrived. I stared at Vixen, then moved closer to him, and then I looked his in the eyes.
“You prepare this too much?” I sarcastically asked.
“Why are you still furious with me after I told you everything I feel? I didn't do anything wrong, and all I know is that I love you right,” he said, and I felt a peculiar tickling in my body.
I grinned at him and then moved away. Jenny, who was smiling at me and seemed to be cheering me up, caught my attention. I really dislike this situation, and I no longer want Vixen to be my rival. We are both powerful and have similar attacks and movements. Sometimes I think he’s simply trying to be like me. But he was my training partner when I was younger. Dad adores the fact that he is always by my side no matter where I go. I also like his presence anytime he is near, and I want his undivided attention to be on me.
“Can’t I choose who I could face even now?” I ask.
Vixen raised his eyebrows at me. “Of course, you can,” he answered.
“I don’t want to face you at this time. But it has nothing to do with what we talked about,” I said, then he nodded at me.
“Alright, as you wish my lady,” he answered.
I looked at Ron and signaled him to stand. I prepared myself since he followed my signal. Following that, we both took our places. In fact, Ron is a skilled fighter who is not to be underestimated. Despite the fact that they don’t have the same moves as Ran or Vixen, Vixen is still stronger than the three of them. We’ve begun to prowess in posing as a werewolf. Even though I know I need to learn more about my persona, I sometimes wonder why I was born this way.
Ron hurried over to me, and I jumped. I turned to him and swiftly moved, but he let go of me, and I didn’t know how to let go of him when he rushed again. I was hit by his strike, but the force of it caused me to retreat. I stared him in the eyes and then gave him a terrible look; I’m not sure if he was weakened by what I did or if I was just really powerful.
I swiftly altered my posture and approached Ron. “Are you okay?” I inquired, concerned.
He gave me a nod after looking at me. “I’m alright, Shranaia; it’s far from the intestines,” he said, and I turned to face Jenny, who was approaching us.
“Are you okay?” she inquired to Ron.
Ron stared at her, and I scowled as he pretended to be hurt. “Ah... the pain here is excruciating,” he said, pointing to his arm.
Jenny examined his arm before grabbing it, but she smacked him hard. “Be a better actor the next time!”
“You’re hurting me! Is that how you love? Hurting? But if that’s your love language, spank me every day,” he said, making me laugh.
“Could you be disgusted by what you say?” Jenny said angrily.
“I know you’re concerned about me; I know you love me,” Ron boasted.
I merely shook my head at the two of them before straightening up and leaving. Vixen stepped in front of me, smiled at me, and I grimaced as a result of what he did. His father and mother approached me and praised me for what had occurred.
“Thank you for watching,” I murmured, bowing to both of them.
“I’ve never seen anything like this before, Shranaia, but I know you’re not easy,” the Alpha replied, and I smiled at him.
“To be honest, I have no idea how to fight in wolf dog form. But sometimes I simply think it shouldn’t be focused just on your abilities as a wolf, if not as a human as well.”
The two of them smiled at what I said, and then she took my hand in hers. “You are a courageous and powerful woman,” she said.
I disregarded Vixen and moved my gaze elsewhere. When I said my goodbyes to Alpha and Luna, they both merely nodded. I then turned away from them. Rara, Gena, and Jenny appeared out of nowhere as I looked to my left and right.
“Isn’t your argument over yet? It appears like you two were fine previously, but now you’re fighting again? Aren’t you done yet?” Jenny inquired.
“It’s nothing,” I answered, turning away.
“Nothing? Doesn’t it seem so?” Gena said.
I didn’t even speak because I knew that everything would go nowhere if I told her what happened. I said I wanted to be alone first, and they didn’t follow me anymore. When I got to my cabin, I immediately closed the door and held my face. I looked at the only memory that I have of my parents, and then I stared at it, and to be honest, I felt like something strange was going to happen to my body.
I rose up, straightened myself, and looked around to see whether Vixen was still there or if he was still keeping an eye on me. But, happily, he is not here, so I think I may carry out my long-planned plan. I went through my cabinets and prepared everything I would need. When I heard the door open, I came to a halt and hurriedly buried the bag. I rose up and exited the room, gasping as I saw Vixen’s face.
“What are you doing here again?” I ask.
“Why do you look to be hiding something?” he inquired.
“Nothing,” I said right away.
I walked by him and then went to get a drink. I didn’t even bother attempting to comprehend him since I knew he’d do the same thing. He followed me and then stopped to see what I was doing. Because I felt disoriented in his presence, I clenched my eyes firmly and gazed at him angrily.
“Aren’t you going to stop bothering me?” I grumbled.
“Why are you avoiding me?” he said angrily.
“Why do you keep pestering me?” I irritatedly asked.
“I’d want to look at your face. But I think I like it more…” He came to a halt, then grabbed my arm and drew me closer to him. “Closer and this near,” he continued.
I couldn’t speak to him because what he said silenced me, and I felt like peeing because of what happened. I don’t know how long we were in that position before he gradually brought his face closer to mine, which worried me, and I immediately pushed him so he let go of me and then held me to my chest.
I feel like I’m going to have a heart attack as a result of what he did, and I just want to vanish since I know I can't conceal the redness on my face as a result of what occurred. I gave him a bad look, and he simply chuckled at me.
“Get out!”
“I don’t want to,” he said, which irritated me even more.
“What do I have to do for you to stop pestering me?” I grumbled.
“I’m not battling you; why are you fighting me?” he snorted. I didn’t respond and simply sighed to avoid him. “I simply want to hear what you feel for me; I’ve told you what I feel; I’ll respect whatever your answer is, but it doesn’t mean I’ll give up on you,” he remarked, which prompted me to approach him.
“Do you realize what you’re saying to me right now?”
“I know.”
“What you’re asking is not something you’re requesting, and it’s difficult to commit in this case,” I stated. When I put my hand on his face, he was going to approach me. “I need space, and you don’t have to talk to me that close!” I grumbled.
I noticed him sulking again, and this time I noticed his crimson lips. I bit my lower lip because something in me wanted to kiss him that I couldn’t explain. Because of the craziness I was thinking, I instantly turned aside and merely shook my head.
“Do you know what sacrifice I am making? Even if I really want to hug you, kiss you, or hold your hand, I can’t because what you want and your decision are important to me. I feel like you are crushing me and giving me a reason to stay away from you,” he said sadly.
I feel like he’s like a child who didn’t get what he wanted, and I’m like his mother, who has to give him that thing. I just sighed and went out of the cabin to get away from him. Fortunately, he didn’t follow me anymore. While walking and thinking, I stopped when I noticed a girl who was looking at me. I frowned when I saw her face, and I knew I couldn’t be wrong about who that girl was. I immediately followed her until I entered the forest. As I followed her, I reached the border of our pack.
I stopped for a moment, then I held my mouth. I didn’t realize my tears were falling until I looked around. Those of us who seem to be struggling, I don’t know what to do, and I feel weak. I felt a hand on my shoulder, but I didn’t look at it yet.
“A lot has happened over time and the loss of Alpha and Luna has had many negative effects. Even so, the only thing you can do is to cry, watch, and witness their suffering. With each passing day, they only plead and ask for help from the surviving princess.” I don't know why she says this as if she knows what happened to our pack.
“I can’t stand watching them suffer like this. I just witnessed this now, and Daddy didn’t allow this type of flood to happen,” I added, looking at the girl next to me. “Who are you?” I ask.
“I know you know who I am, what I am, and what abilities I have, Shranaia,” she said with a smile. She’s making me have many a question in my head.
“What do you mean?” I ask.
Instead of responding, she turned away from me, and I rose up to follow her. I hadn’t even gotten near her when an animal darted in front of me, causing me to come to a halt. When I stared at the girl, she vanished, and when I looked around, I couldn't find her anywhere.
“Where is she?” I ask myself.
“Shranaia.” I turned around when someone called my name, and suddenly the whole environment changed.
Suddenly, there was fog all around. I don’t know where it came from. I walked and I don’t know how I exit and I don't even know how I got in. I started to walk, but I stopped when I heard a rustling behind me. I immediately looked, but I couldn’t see anything other than thick fog.
“Who’s there?”
