SHRANAIA’S POV
After a few days, my stay with them went well, and now I’m practicing my sense of smell. We’re now in the forest, and as I glanced around, I heard a wave and knew there was a sea nearby. I could also smell the sea wind and hear birds chirping in the background.
I looked at Vixen and Rara; Ron and Ran had joined us. Gena, who has joined our group, is also present. “You must locate where I am. Whoever detects my smell first wins,” Vixen stated, and I furrowed.
I don’t understand. “Why you are the one who needs to find?” I questioned.
“Because you will also fight him once you found him, and if you defeat him, you will receive the reward,” Rara explained as I glanced at her.
“You know the game’s mechanics, why did you join?” I grumbled.
“That’s right?” Gena agreed.
“Because I haven’t fought him yet and couldn’t find him immediately enough; whomever discovers him is Ron or Ran,” she sneered.
“Really?” Gena said, surprised, and Rara nodded.
“It’s so difficult to catch him that you'll eventually give up in the end,” He said this while you sniffed and looked at Vixen.
It looks like what Rara did was nothing to Vixen, and he started shifting his shape, I had no idea where he was headed or which direction he was heading. I stared at them, then they altered their form, which I didn’t notice until I went looking for Vixen. Everything seemed to be loading on me, and it was only then that I decided to transform into a wolf.
I glanced about for Vixen's aura and sniffed where it went. They say he’s not easy to capture, therefore I'll probably have a difficult time catching him. In any case, I’ll do everything to catch him and fight him for the first time.
I dashed off to find Vixen. I followed him after seeing his aura. When I felt his proximity, I noticed Ron and Ran running practically simultaneously with me. They exchanged glances, as Gena and Rara followed from behind. I sped up even more and followed him. The four of them followed me, but I took a detour so they wouldn’t suspect me. When I noticed a shadow following me, I looked up.
The oddest bird I’d ever seen appeared from above, and I grimaced in response. I’m not sure what’s wrong with the bird, but I have a strange suspicion. I’m not sure why, but I know he’s not simply a bird. I scented Vixen and saw him to my left. When he stared at me, I attacked him right away.
“Ahhh!” he gasped as he endured the pain, and then I shifted my form.
“Shhh!” I said instantly, covering his mouth.
We’ve transformed and are now quite close to one another. We took cover in the shadow of a tree, and I noticed a bird circling the area where Vixen and I were. He took my hand off his mouth and looked up to see what I was looking at.
“He doesn’t belong here,” Vixen said.
“I know,” I whispered.
“Do you know him?” he wondered.
“Hmm, I know him,” I answered.
We both turned around since they were coming, and we exchanged glances. We looked up again, then got up, and I kicked him hard, which stunned and surprised him. Ron, Ran, Rara, and Gena stopped what I was doing, and when I looked up, the bird was still there.
I didn’t realize Vixen was gazing at me when we were in that position, and even though I was nervous, I didn't tell him since I knew he'd only tease me. “Whoah?” Rara said in disbelief and covered her mouth.
“W-what happened?” Ron wondered.
“I-I don’t know?” Ran answered.
I signaled them to look up, which they did, and then quickly hid in the shade of the tree where I was standing. “Why is there a big bird here?” Gena asked.
“I recognize that bird, but what’s strange is how it’s here,” I replied, looking at Vixen’s position.
“It seems like someone is watching what we’re doing,” Ron stated, and I looked at him.
Actually, Ron’s statement might be correct. When our pack was still alive, I saw that bird, which, if I’m not forgotten, was owned by Zondemir. I once saw him carrying the bird at night, and even though there was no light, I saw him well. I looked around for Vixen and then gave her the peace sign. Actually, I did it in order to win. I don’t care whether these four see us.
When I spotted Vixen coming, I instantly altered my form and ran as fast as I could. “Wait for a second!” Gena and others yelled.
I didn’t glance behind me while running since I was focused on what Vixen might do. We arrived at the river, and I swiftly leaped, changed my form, and held my breath so he wouldn’t see me. When I noticed him above me, I swiftly swam away from him and to the other side. I ran again when I arrived, but this time I didn’t change my form. I climbed the tree while running, which surprised me because I had not expected to be able to do so. I noticed Vixen down below and was just staring at him from where I was. When I see how he glances around, I forgot that I didn’t dry myself first.
The water dripped on my clothes, and I hurriedly went to another tree before it touched Vixen’s fur, and then I ran. I looked up at the moment, but the bird has vanished. I sensed Vixen close by as I moved around the tree, and when I spotted him, I rapidly came down, and when he felt me, he attacked me. I crossed my arms quickly, and he looked me in the eyes. His glance made me melt, then Ron, Ran, Rara, and Gena appeared.
“You are much faster than I expected,” he said.
“Because it’s training, I’m sure you won’t feel sorry for me,” I stated, then gave him a hard kick, which caused him to step back as he touched his egg balls.
“Fvck it,” he said while jumping. “Why did you do that?” he asks.
“It’s a part of training,” I said that makes him grimace.
“Augh.”
“I know how much it hurt, Boss,” Ran said.
“Shut up!” Vixen said, annoyed.
I covered my mouth, then I approached him. “Did I do it too hard that’s why it hurts?” I asked him.
“What do you think of it? Rock balls?” he said to me, and I bit my lip.
I gazed at Rara and Gena as they chuckled. Because what happened was not amusing, and I was so irritated that I couldn’t stop myself. I was about to help him in standing, when he stopped me, took a big breath, and got up on his own. He extended his hand to me, then gave me a bad look and urged me not to come near him. I was appalled by what he did, and I'm not sure whether I should be annoyed or guilty.
“Aren’t you going to tell us who won?” Gena said, still frowning at Vixen.
“Isn’t it an obvious girl?” Rara said, then pointed at me. “She won, don’t ask,” she added.
“Thank you,” I said, and then I started walking.
They both approached me, then placed me in the midst and inquired as to what had happened earlier while Vixen was chasing me. We also were giggling as we went after I gave them the entire story. Even though I made a new friend, I couldn’t stop thinking about Jenny and wondering how she was doing. I sighed, then came to a halt and glanced at Vixen, who gave me a grimace.
“What?” he wondered.
“I wanted to visit, Jenny,” I said.
“We will,” he answered.
I couldn’t believe what he said, and to be honest, it appeared to revitalize me. "Really?" I inquired, stunned, and he nodded in response. “Thank you!”
When I stated it, I moved closer to him and hugged him out of joy. When I let go of him, I saw his face get red, which made me frown, but I simply kept going, I followed Gena and Rara. When I returned to the pack, Alpha and Luna were waiting for me, and when they saw me, I ran up to them and hugged them.
“I won the training earlier,” I said, and Luna grinned.
“I’m delighted to hear that, Shranaia, but... what happened to my only son, who appears to be blushing?” she said, and I turned to see Vixen blushing.
“Why?” I said, stunned.
“Wouldn’t your crush hug you and not thrill you?” Ran said, then I winced.
Because of what Ran said, I feel like I’m going to have a heart attack. I calmed down, then the Alpha glanced at me. I just shrugged, but I saw how he smiled pleasantly at me as if I had done something wonderful. Despite this, Vixen instantly turned away, then took a long breath and looked back at his father, and the redness on his face vanished as if nothing had happened. He approached him, then whispered, and I noticed how serious the Alpha's expression became, as did the Luna’s.
“What’s up?” I asked, and they both looked at me.
“Nothing; you may rest for the moment; we only have something essential to discuss,” the Luna remarked, turning away.
I’m not sure what’s going on, but it appears to be related to what happened earlier in the forest. I know I'll know everything at the perfect moment, and even if this isn't that time, I know there will be another. I invited Gena and Rara to accompany me to the cabin where I was staying.
“Gosh, I’m so exhausted for what happened just now,” Rara said as he lay on my bed.
“Who is Jenny?” Gena said, and I turned to face her.
“My pal,” I said.
“To which pack does she belong?”
“Actually…” I wasn't sure if I should tell her, but Rara spoke up before I could.
“She’s from the human world,” she said, before turning to face her.
“What?” Gena said, stunned. “Really?” she inquired, and Rara nodded. “I want to see her in person; I want to travel to the world of people,” she continued, and Rara and I both smiled.
We discussed what we would do when we could see Jenny and what we would avoid. I told them both the correct and bad ways to do things. Because of what happened to me before I arrived at the pack, I didn’t bring my phone. Anyway, I assured them that I would teach them how to use the phone and also purchase it for them.
The maids brought me dinner, and when I saw the letter, I smiled and read it right away. Even when he is busy, he never fails to cook for me. I feel like I’m disturbing him, yet it’s wonderful to feel special to someone.
We converse as we eat. We went to bed when we finished eating. I told them to spend the night at my cabin because I didn’t have anybody else with me. They agreed with me, and we played a game as I told them about my problems in the human world. Apart from competing with Samantha, I informed them about my issues.
“Whoah? I can’t believe being educated is trendy in that society,” Gena and I said, laughing.
“It’s not just intelligence,” I said, and she frowned.
“It’s also beauty,” said Rara, then we laughed. “Who wouldn’t be jealous of Shranaia, right? Beautiful, smart, strong, and doesn’t give up,” Rara praised me.
“You compliment me too much,” I complained.
“She’s saying the truth,” Gena agreed.
“But I don’t want them to waste flowers and attention on me. Especially Joel,” I said, then winced.
“Joel?” Rara and Gena said.
“You will know who Joel is when you see them. Especially Sam,” I just said.
“Oh... that looks exciting,” they said, then we laughed again.
