Go back and Prepare

In the vast meadow, a giant flame appeared. From within the flames, came screams, cries, and screams of despair. The fire was like the fire of hell that destroyed everything.

Not far from the flames, a silhouette of a young man standing with a cold expression looking at the flames can be seen.

A few tens of meters from the young man, a group of knights looked at him with horror and fear. Cold sweat drenched their bodies. Unexpectedly, the figure that was considered the most useless in the Royal Capital… actually wiped out the Orc tribe.

It's been one week since Azel left the Minotaur tribe, he and his entourage continue to search for Heteromorphic tribes that will be made subordinates. On their way, things went pretty smoothly.

The Goblins, Gnolls, and Trolls agree to serve Azel. But on the seventh day, things went a little off the rails.

When he arrived at the Orc tribe, those whose civilization was good enough really looked down on Azel and his group. If that was all, the young man wouldn't care much. however, Azel is like a dragon that has a reverse scale. If that point was touched, he would go crazy.

The reversed scale is of course the family and the people he has made a soul contract with.

The Orcs who felt superior were truly arrogant. They are also famous for their bad attitude towards women. Orc men really like women who are not of their race. Although there were women in the Orc tribe, the men preferred other races. Especially the Orc chief.

'Even if it's just a dirty Dhampir, that girl looks really pretty. This king loves it!

'If you want to have a discussion with us, how about handing over the Dhampir and Dark Elf. After all, this King doesn't have a woman of that race yet!

'You're just an outcast brat, you better comply with this King's words. If you provide them to me, I might be willing to help you fight that useless former Count.'

"..."

Many dirty words were uttered by the Orc chief. Not only that, the men of the Orc tribe also flirted shamelessly. If it was just a tease, Azel would still allow it. But when they were about to leave, Azel and his entourage were intercepted and then threatened.

Not only that, they even tried to capture Camellia and Elena.

Even though he knew that it would be impossible to take Elena or Camellia under his protection, Azel was still angry. He didn't really care if he himself was insulted, but if it was someone close to him… the young man would hold a grudge. Also, if the enemy tries to hurt the people he cares for, Azel will kill them.

Even though he didn't use his full strength, Azel immediately showed the same strength as the first prince, a level 5 (intermediate) Demon. The young man instantly used wide-scale gravity magic which caused the entire Orc tribe area to be affected. The Orcs immediately lay down on the ground with frightened expressions.

Even though there were many of them, in front of the almost absolute power of magic, they were just animals waiting to be slaughtered. Even the Orc chieftain was only a level 3 (late) Demon. In front of Azel's strength, he was just like an ant.

Seeing Azel's true strength, the orcs begged for their lives. Even low class warriors at tier 1 or 2 could barely breathe. Their bones creaked as if they would break at any moment. Of course there were some exceptions namely Camellia, Elena, Asterious and the 100 knights that Azel saved from gravity magic.

With a cold expression on his face, Azel ordered his men to get away from the orc tribe immediately. Although surprised, they immediately chose to go following their master's orders.

By the time Azel's people stepped away from the tribe and looked back, their expressions turned pale. They saw three giant snakes that looked like king cobras with two horns on their heads rampaging and destroying the orc tribe.

The strange thing was, the three giant snakes had their entire bodies made of black flames. Every time they passed and swept in all directions, wails filled with pain and regret sounded.

Obviously... it's a high level fire magic!

The end result, Azel came out of the flames without the slightest injury. But being quite far away at once because of the firelight, everyone couldn't see their master's expression. All they saw was a pair of eyes of different colors. Those gold and purple eyes looked indifferent as if they didn't value life. He looked like a person who had subconsciously stepped on an ant. No guilt.

After quite a while, with a wave of Azel's hand, the black flames finally extinguished. Other than the vast black ground filled with dust, there was nothing else that was left. Buildings, weapons, even corpses were completely reduced to ashes. It made the knights under Azel shiver in fear.

Ignoring the terrified crowd, Azel walked to his carriage. Before going inside, a cold voice sounded in the ears of his subordinates.

"All missions completed. Let's return... to Black Lily City."

Ten days later at Black Lily Castle.

On the ninth day, Azel and the group made it back. Asterious immediately made a soul contract and swore allegiance to Azel. Moreover, rumors about the 8th Prince had finally started to spread.

Everyone in Black Lily City felt both awe and fear at that figure that they usually looked down on. After knowing that Azel was a high level demon, level 5 (intermediate), everyone started to think that the reason Azel went to the southern border was to gain experience. Having always lived in the Imperial Palace, he was sent by the Emperor to gain life experience.

Yes... even if it's just a random guess.

In the study, Azel seemed to be sitting quietly with an indifferent expression. In front of him, more precisely on the table, a lot of documents piled up. In addition, a cup of hot tea that is still steaming can be seen.

"Are those people advanced yet?" asked Azel.

"According to the reports they sent out, the five Viscounts have already brought troops to go surround the Nixon territory." Camellia who was standing on Azel's right said politely.

"What about the letter I sent to Marquis Bathory? Was there a reply?"

"That man seems wise, Master. He has announced that he will not interfere with the affairs of the territory that you lead."

"Did that guy promise to guard the border to keep Nixon out of his territory?" asked Azel.

"About that... there is still no explanation, Master."

"So that's it... he said he wouldn't interfere but also didn't care if Nixon stepped into his territory."

The fingers on both of Azel's hands intertwined. The young man lowered his head slightly while contemplating something. After a long silence, he sighed. The young man looked at Camellia who was observing him and smiled gently.

"What is it?" asked Azel.

"I-It's nothing, Master." Camellia shook her head lightly with a blush on her cheeks.

Seeing Camellia not confessing, Azel once again sighed. Leaning back in his chair, the young man then took a cup of tea. After taking a sip, his vision became clearer.

"Camellia?"

"I am here, Master." Camellia bowed respectfully.

"Immediately announce to the entire knight that I choose to go."

After a pause, Azel's gaze became more serious.

"Prepare everyone! We're leaving the day after tomorrow!"
