The Uprising Origins: Final Half

When everyone left the base of operations, Everest went to a certain room where he had a spherical shaped object. He placed it on a stand and swiped his hand over the object and it projected a news article from the future.

The Heading on the news article read, "The Controller Betrays The Uprising"

The article's heading was, "One Of Earth-X's mightiest heroes betrays The Uprising"

At the bottom of the article was the writer an the date that the article was written, "Article by Ida W. Thomas.... March 16, 2035!"

Everest always looked at that article, everyday to see if the future changed but nothing changed and Everest was having his doubts about some team members. He didn't tell any team member about the article.

Martha and Jack found an apartment with 2 bedrooms where they'd stay in the meantime. They spoke and enjoyed catching up on each other. They both still remained best friends.

Louis was heading to his mother's place to see her, he passed through a coffee shop to get some for his mother. Louis entered the shop and was on his phone while walking, not looking where he was going. Louis then bumped into a young lady in the shop who was just from buying coffee and her coffee spilled.

Louis: Oh I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going

Young lady: It's fine, it's okay. After all its just coffee

Louis: I'll replace it, I'll buy you another

Young Lady: No, don't bother. It's okay, really!

Louis: I-I insist, please let me make it up to you!

Young Lady: Uh, okay!

Louis: Louis Thomas, by the way!

Young Lady: Ida Warren!

Louis: Nice to meet you, Ida.

Louis and Ida starred into each other's eyes in a romantic way, till it got awkward. They both turned away from each other's eyes. Louis got Ida a cup of coffee and asked to go for a walk with Ida. Louis and Ida had an awesome conversation and got to know each other more. Louis completely forgot that he was going to see his mother. Ida's conversation with Louis then went from talking about each other to talking about the heroes of New York

Ida: Ever wondered who that Everest guy is?

Louis: Uh, actually I have! Sometimes I wish I'd be like him!

Ida: Are you kidding me? I wouldn't love to be him, it must be hard. I bet his handsome

Louis: Pssh! I-I think the handsome one is that new guy who saved him.

Before Ida could respond, her phone rang and she excused herself to answer it and she put her phone on loud speaker. Louis was able to hear everything.

"Ida Warren here, how may I help?"

"Ida, this is Richard. The deadly warriors have been spotted in front of the new building that's meant for the mayor. We need you there ASAP to do a live report"

"The deadly warriors? I-I will be there"

When Louis heard that he turned the other way and called Everest.

"Louis, this better be good news you have!"

"Everest, the deadly warriors are attacking the new building for the mayor"

"What is it with them and the mayor? H-How did you get that information?"

"I, uh, watch the news. Yes! The news"

"Be here in 5 minutes, I'll call the others"

Louis left in a rush and by the time Ida turned to tell Louis that she had to go, she found him gone and got quite suspicious.

Everest, Martha and Jack arrived and already found Louis there.

Everest: Alright guys, we're going in the field and first things first, put on your suits and masks and whatever. Never remove your masks in the field

Insecticator: Yeah, yeah. Identity thing, we know Everest!

Ace: So what's the plan?

Everest: I did some digging on who the Wire-Man is and before I tell anyone, let me let you know, never fight out of anger.

The Controller: You're looking at me, Why are you looking at me? It seems like that's directed to me. I never fight out of anger!

Everest: The Wire-Man is originally a man by the name of Jimmy Clause!

Louis AKA the Controller, remembered Jimmy and all the terrible things he did to him as a child and he got angry but didn't show it.

The Controller: Uh, okay. Yeah, Jimmy. So, uhm. What's the plan?

Everest: Ace and Insecticator, get the citizens as far as possible. Obviously there will be buildings dropping and I'll need you guys to protect all the citizens.

Ace: That won't be a problem!

Everest: Good! Controller, I'll need you to take out as many deadly warriors and I'll take care of Wire-Man

The Controller: I'm sorry it almost sounded like you said I'll take care of the deadly warriors

Everest: Yes! That's what I said, anything wrong!

The Controller: Yes! Everything's wrong! I am the guy who should take out Wire-Man. You take out your so called deadly warriors! You've been handling them for five years! So you take em out!

Everest: Louis Thomas, also known as the Controller. I've done a background check on you and I know you and Jimmy know each other. I know about how he always bullied you! So I know that you just want to take revenge!

The Controller: That is not true! You just want to fight Wire-Man so that the world thinks of you as some, kind of, hero!

Insecticator: Guys, instead of arguing let's stick to the plan and get out on the field, now!

The Controller: I ain't going no where till the plan is adjusted!

Everest: Fine! You big baby, take on Wire-Man. I'll deal with the deadly warriors.

Ace: And just before we go, what's our team name?

Insecticator: I got one, The Uprising!

Everest: Nice! Now let's go!

The Uprising went to the new building for the mayor. They stood outside preparing to fight the deadly warriors, The Controller just wanted to kill Wire-Man. Ace and Insecticator flew to get the citizens as far as possible while Everest and The Controller stayed on the ground, waiting for them.

Ida was with the camera man from the news station, running towards the place of danger to go and report live outside the building but the camera man ran away when he saw a deadly warrior approaching him. Ida still ran towards the danger and saw Everest with another person dressed in a superhero suit as well.

The Controller grew impatient waiting for Ace and Insecticator.

The Controller: That's it, I'm going in!

Everest: No! Controller, wait for Ace and Insecticator to get back.

The Controller disabled his suit to talk to Everest better, not knowing that Ida saw The Controller and when he disabled his suit, she saw that Louis Thomas is the Controller.

Everest: How many times have I told you not to remove your suit in the field

Louis: This would be the first actually

Ida then showed herself and when Louis heard that there was someone nearby, he quickly enabled his suit but Ida already saw who he really was.

Ida: Lo-Louis? You're the other guy, the new hero who saved Everest

The Controller disabled his suit when he saw that it was Ida

Louis: Ida, you cannot be here, it's dangerous here. 

Ida: You lied to me Louis! 

Ace and Insecticator came back and also disabled their suits when they saw Louis without his. Ida also saw who Ace and Insecticator were.

Jack: Who's the new girl?

Ida: I'm Ida, Louis friend

Martha: You're a news reporter? I've seen you quite a number of times on TV

Everest: Louis, Martha, Jack! Let's get to business and put on your suits.

Ida looked so worried while looking into Louis' eyes. Ida kissed Louis and starred into his eyes again

Ida: Please be careful

Louis: I-I will, I promise.

Ida ran the other way to safety. The three enabled their suits.

Everest: Insecticator, Ace. What did you see

Insecticator: The Wire-Man is inside and is heavily guarded by deadly warriors. There are also no signs of civilians nearby, we got all of them as far away as possible.

Everest: Good, let's go in and attack these deadly warriors and get rid of them once and for all.

They were walking in the building and Everest held The Controller

Everest: We don't kill people!

The Controller: Yeah, yeah. Whatever!

They went inside the building and as soon as the deadly warriors saw the four, they started running towards them, attacking them. Everest, Insecticator and Ace were capturing the deadly warriors. The Controller immediately flew towards Wire-Man and tried to punch his face but Wire-Man moved an kicked The Controller. Ace used his acid to capture the deadly warriors and tie them up. His acid wasn't melting them because he didn't make it melt them. Insecticator summoned insects to attack the other deadly warriors to make them unconscious. Everest was using all his power to capture the deadly warriors. Ida entered the building and started recording with her phone what was going on and how they were fighting. Wire-Man beat The Controller till he couldn't get up. Wire-Man tied the Controller to the ground with strong metal bars and had a huge sharp metal bar just right above the Controller's head, preparing to kill the Controller.

Wire-Man: I am going to enjoy killing you

The Controller: No! You won't kill me! I-I won't allow you to hurt me again

Wire-Man: Again?

The Controller broke free and got controlled objects in the room to hit Wire-Man. He beat Wire-Man and continued to hit him. 

The Controller got the same metal bar and threw it so that it stabs Wire Man, but Everest used air to stop the metal bar. The Controller got more angry and rushed to kill Wire-Man but Everest moved fast and appeared in front of The Controller and stopped him from killing Wire-Man. Everest knocked Wire-Man out and all the deadly warriors were captured. 

A few minutes later.....

Mayor Oscar arrived at the scene and Ida was reporting live. The Uprising was standing behind her as she was reporting.

"Good Afternoon Citizens of New York, Ida Warren reporting live outside the newly built building for the mayor where a group of brave heroes saved us and have captured the deadly warriors and their leader. With us we have our savior of New York, Everest who set up a group of brave heroes. In the group we have The Controller, Ace and Insecticator. None of this would've been possible without this group known as The Uprising"

 Mayor Oscar walked towards Everest and the team

Mayor Oscar: Thank you so much for saving us. We can be able to walk the streets again and sleep comfortably at night. What would you want us to offer you for your help. Anything at all

Everest: No, no Mayor Oscar. It's fine. Us being accepted is fine

The Controller: Or! You could give us this building

Mayor Oscar: You must be out of you damn mind son!

The Controller: Oh, Oh! Just some good 12 seconds ago I remember you saying you'll give us anything and also if you won't give us the building then we're not gonna help you take out the deadly warriors and Wire-Man from inside the building.

Ace: Yeah, I mean it only makes sense that we get this building. The deadly warriors and Wire-Man are already tied up inside. We can be able to make a power dampener cell under the building to keep all big time villains that we catch

Insecticator: So what's it gonna be, Mayor?

Mayor Oscar: I will have the building transferred under Everest's name as soon as possible!

Mayor Oscar then walked away with his men. The Uprising entered the building and Ida followed inside the building as well. 

1 year later, The Uprising made the building even way better than it was before. They had their own rooms and built a huge prison just under the building. They kept Wire-Man and all the deadly warriors there. The Uprising, including Ida were in the main room, Everest called them to talk to them.

Everest: I'd like to thank all of you for your help and I won't lie its been fun having you all

Martha: I assume this is the part where you're gonna tell us or rather show us who you really are?

Everest: Nah! I won't be doing that and I'd like to thank Ida for keeping our secret. You're part of us now

Ida: Thanks a lot man!

Everest: So we're done, you can all go back to your lives

Jack: yeah, I-I actually have to get back to my family back in D.C

Louis: You're married?

Jack: hell no! I mean my immediate family.

Everest: So Jack will be going back to D.C, I don't know about Martha and Louis

Louis: I'm going with Ida. Of course I'll still be in New York but no where near here.

Ida: yeah, I'll be with Louis but for me, I might be coming back because of work!

Martha: I'm actually gonna stay here with Everest, he'd need someone to talk to and I don't have a family in Earth 399. I don't know where dad is and my brothers and sister an-and mother are in a different universe, so I'm staying here with Everest.

Everest: Well, what's done is done. But if ever, we're threatened with anything like this, we all will be ready to come back. No matter what

Louis: Sure!

Jack: I'll be here in a flash

Everest: Great! We will let the world know that we are The Uprising!

Louis and Ida finally packed their bags and went to Everest's room to tell him that they were taking their leave. They found the door to Everest's room open and entered inside, looking for Everest. 

Louis: Where do you think he can be

Ida: Well, I think Everest may be with Martha doing what I think we should be doing

Louis: ohh I hear you loud and clear. Come here baby.

Ida: Let's go somewhere more private.

Louis pulled Ida towards him but Louis ended up bumping into a spherical object that was on a stand and it projected the same article Everest always looks at from the future. Louis and Ida didn't see it because they were going out of Everest's room but Jack appeared on the Everest's door, looking for Everest to tell him that he was leaving and saw the projected article that was behind Louis and Ida

Jack: Louis ( He said in a worried way)

Louis: What? What's wrong?

Jack: Look behind you.

Louis and Ida turned around and saw the article. Martha was walking to her room and saw the three in Everest's room and entered the room as well. Jack started reading the first paragraph of the article.

Jack: One Of Earth-X's mightiest heroes betrays The Uprising. It's sad to announce that our hero, Louis Thomas also known as The Controller has not only betrayed The Uprising but the entire universe.. He set The Hummer free and is working with him to kill and destroy all Universes. This happened after five years after the Legion-X fought all villains of all time. No one knows where the Controller is and everyone fears for what will happen to the multiverse. Will the Legion-X return to help stop them or not. The Controller is more powerful than ever now.

Martha: Louis, you betray us

Louis: No I don't. You're believing some dumb article. Look first of the the image of the suit there is black, mine is grey. We're not in Earth-X, we're in Earth 399 and we have no Legion-X or Hummer

Jack: Yet!

Ida: What do you mean yet?

Jack: look at the bottom of the article. Article by Ida W. Thomas. Date, March 16, 2035. It's an article from the future.

Martha: Ida you wrote this article and on your birthday.

Ida: Why would Everest hide such.

Jack: Probably the reason why he doesn't trust us.

Louis: The world finds out who I really am. Let's not tell Everest that we know about this and I would never betray The team. This team is my family

Martha: Let's just pray you don't betray us

Louis: Come on Ida, let's get going. 

Jack: I'll be taking my leave now Martha. Tell Everest that we left.

Martha: Sure thing, take care.

Martha was still in shock and went and left everything in Everest's room the way he left it. Everest was actually at his old base of operations getting the things he left, not knowing that the rest of the team now knows about what he wasn't telling them.
