Chapter 112: Confrontation (3)

Ivery's eyes opened.

She sat up and looked around the wrecked room, she noticed that the windows that was intact before were shattered.

Ivery looked down and her eyes widened when she touched the beautiful new dress that she wore. She then lifted her hands and touched the golden locket around her neck. She tried to open it but to no avail it wouldn't budge.

"Hm.." She looked beside her and saw Luther fast asleep, lying down next to her

Ivery looked up and took in a deep breath. She felt...different. She felt like she could do anything and everything. She felt as if she could crack the world in half with just a flick of her hand.

She probably could...

As curious as she was...she needed to test one important thing...

As much as she dreaded the thought, it was necessary to know, she had to be sure about it. And the only way she could find out was to try it.

Ivery held her hand out and a long thin sword materialized in her hand.

Luther's eyes opened when he sensed a powerful yet familiar magic being used.

He sat up and saw Ivery holding a sword.

"What are you doing?" Luther asked her

"Testing something." Ivery replied

"Testing what?" He inquired with a raise of his eyebrow

"This." Ivery turned the sword around to point toward her and intended to stab herself with it

Luther quickly grabbed the blade of the sword and crushed the blade into pieces within an instant. His purple eyes glowed in response to his emotions.

"What are you doing?!" Luther raised his voice

"I wanted to see if I-" Ivery flinched and wasn't used to Luther being upset with her

"If you could die?!" Luther couldn't believe she'd risk trying such a thing in front of him

The lights in the room flickered, and suddenly the giant chandelier on the ceiling dropped to the floor.

"Yes.." She nodded and couldn't look him in the eyes

"What if weapons created by your own magic can?!" Luther asked her

"I..." Ivery didn't know what to say

"And you can forget about trying to use any of my own." Luther gritted his teeth, he promised her that he would never let her get hurt, even if he had to protect her from herself

"Erebus confirmed that your body has been immortalized, we're not sure how your body handles injuries just yet and how you recover but I refuse to see you stab yourself." Luther told her in a serious tone

"I mean..I could just try it outside if you wan-"

"Ivery!" Luther looked at her with his angry glowing eyes, almost piercing into her soul

"Sorry.." Ivery quickly apologized

"You know what I mean, I don't want you getting hurt at all, whether I'm around to see it or not." He told her

"I just wanted to be certain of it for myself, of course I'd try to be careful in a fight but at least I'll be able to erase the fear of possibly dying." Ivery said

"I understand that but still, if Erebus who's a fallen god says it's so, then it's so." Luther tried to ease her worries in order to avoid her harming herself just to test out her immortality

"Forget about it, now that you're up, let's go find Loki." Luther got up off of the bed

Just as he stood up he felt a tug on his shirt. He turned his head to look back.

"Don't be mad at me.." Ivery looked at him with teary eyes

"Ivery.." Luther's heart wrenched

He turned completely around and put his hands on her cheeks.

"I'm not mad at you, I just don't want any harm to come to you if it's within my ability to stop it because you're the only person that I truly care about." He leaned down and kissed her

"Now let's go, we're wasting too much time here." Luther picked Ivery up off of the bed

Ivery focused all of her thoughts on Loki and held Luthers hand as she initiated her teleportation magic.

As soon as they misted away into a golden cloud, they were surrounded by darkness..

A glowing golden ball materialized in Ivery's hand and illuminated the darkness. Ivery and Luther's eyes looked in shock when they saw Loki in his true form pinned on a cave wall, missing all four of his limbs.

"Oh my god." Ivery covered her mouth and a single tear ran down her eye

"You're finally here..." A voice echoed in the dark cave

Xia in her regular appearance stepped out of the darkness and Eos floated beside her.

"Do you like my surprise?" Xia asked with a wicked smile

"How dare you do this!" Ivery's eyes glowed and the ground rumbled and pieces of the cave fell and clacked on the ground

"Ooo scary." Xia laughed as she mocked Ivery

"Once I realized this thing wasn't Luther, I decided to use him as bait to lure you two here...it seems like it worked.." Xia explained

"That white haired woman at the ball...it was you wasn't it, Luther?" Xia looked at him

"...." Luther didn't answer

"Fine, don't say anything...it doesn't change the fact that you're both dying here." Xia shrugged

"You're the one who's dying today." Ivery clenched her hands into fists

"What was that? I don't think I heard you clearly?" Xia smirked

"Eos already told me that your precious gods that love you so so much can't even interfere in here, not to mention the spells in your bodies should've taken effect...while the memory wiping spell seems to have not worked, your prowess cores should be significantly weaker." Xia proudly said

"I been got rid of those spells, they were child's play, it's amusing how you thought that it would work on us." Luther chuckled

"It seems I underestimated how vast your gifted magic is..." Eos was furious underneath her calm expression, the rate of success for their plan to kill these children was decreasing, them having access to their full powers and memories just put them back to square one

Luther was the most worrisome one out of the two of them. In her eyes Ivery posed no threat and could be easily dealt with, but Luther on the other hand was on another level of danger, she still couldn't believe how much black magic he held within his body, and his power still kept growing everyday..she thought that Ivery was commendable for being able to be with such a terrifying man for so long...if you could even call him a man..he almost seemed like another type of entity entirely.

"You'll both pay for this.." Ivery's eyes glowed with a golden light, filling her scleras

Ivery lifted her hand up and a golden beam shot up and blew a gaping hole in the caves ceiling, reaching all the way up to the surface.

She snapped her fingers and Xia and Eos were sent flying straight up the hole she blew open at an intense speed.

Eos and Xia couldn't keep up with what was happening..

Ivery jumped up and soared in the air.

"What the hell?!" Xia couldn't believe it

"Uh oh..you made her mad." Luther smiled as he looked up

"You.." Ivery turned her head and looked at Eos

"What has Hecate done?!" Eos waved her hand and hundreds of dark purple swords materialized and shot straight for Ivery

Ivery pointed her index finger and just when the swords reached her, they dissipated into nothing.

"Little Xia, it's time to use the thing I gave you..." Eos said

"You said to use it as a last resort!" Xia shouted

"It is the only thing that could possibly work now! That girl...she has received more power just like that wretched boy, everything else we prepared you for has been for naught!" Eos let out a loud shriek with black energy and aimed it at Ivery

"Lame." Ivery clapped her hands together and from that single clap an enormous explosion was created just by the sound of it

*BOOM*

It blew the surrounding area away, trees ripped out from the ground, the grass flew out of the dirt, the animals flew up, even the clouds separated. Eos and Xia flew back in the air from the intense force.

They both crashed into the ground, making a small crater.

"Get up and do it now!" Eos shouted at Xia

"Okay!" Xia got up from the ground and pulled out a black long curved dagger

Eos waved her hand and sent Xia flying towards Ivery.

Ivery watched Xia flying in her direction and smiled.

Xia plunged the dagger into Ivery's heart and twisted it, making her spit out blood.

Ivery who floated in the air fell down.

Luther's eye's immediately turned black and he soared in the air as a black flash. He caught Ivery midair and landed on the ground.

He pulled the black dagger out of her chest and blood flowed out from her wound.

As much as he wanted to heal her wound...she let herself be stabbed on purpose..she was still determined to test out her immortality. But maybe this was to show Xia and Eos how futile their attempts to kill them now were.

Xia gently landed on the ground and saw Ivery in Luther's arms, bleeding out.

"She's dead, I made sure to pierce it into her heart, and it's a dagger forged in the underworld by a high dark god, you won't be able to heal her." Xia laughed, she wanted to see him spiral as his entire world crumbles into nothing

"Who's dead?" Ivery sat up and wiped the blood from her lips

"What-" Xia's eyes widened in shock

The wound in Ivery's chest glowed and sealed close and her blood quickly evaporated from her white dress, as if it were never there.

"How?! How are you still alive!?" Xia screamed in disbelief

"That's something you don't need to know...but do know that this is the last day you'll ever see." Ivery said and held her hand out, a rusty golden rapier appeared in her hand

Luther summoned the golden kreigsmesser and smirked.

"No! No!" Eos screamed and couldn't believe what she had sensed

Ivery snapped her fingers and Eos was forcefully dragged towards her.

"Hello there..are you finally realizing what's about to happen?" Ivery smiled

"How could you have those! How did they find them!?" Eos tried to teleport away but she couldn't

"I've sealed off your magic, stop trying." Luther walked towards Eos and grabbed her black broken wings

He pulled on one of her wings and ripped one off, she screamed in agony as he did. And he continued to rip her wings apart until her back was bare and oozing with her black blood.

"Stop it!" Xia shouted and ran towards Luther who held one of Eos's wings in his hand

Ivery summoned her Excalibur in her other hand and threw it at Xia. Excalibur plunged into Xia's back and the tip stuck out of her chest. She collapsed on the ground and a tear left her eye, excalibur glowed and it's energy spread throughout Xia's body, canceling her magic and attacking her prowess core that she worked so hard to upgrade..

Ivery walked to Luther and Eos who laid on the ground wailing in pain.

Luther lifted up the kreigsmesser and Ivery pointed her rapier at Eos's head.

"It's over Eos." Ivery said
