"So, have you called your mom?" Daniel asked, taking a seat beside Anastasia. The concerned look on her face was so obvious that he couldn't look away. "Don't worry; I already asked the staff to check on her, and the police will handle it."
Just an hour ago, after having their lunch privately at the hotel, Daniel had sent Anastasia home. Unfortunately, the front of her house was already flooded with a group of reporters. How did the address leak? The uncertainty made him even more worried, as he didn't know what was coming next. He had already asked Jayden to investigate quickly; knowing who their enemy was would help them anticipate the next move.
"Hmm…" Anastasia nodded. "She said she's okay. Luckily, Diya was still there." She raised her gaze to meet Daniel's. "I'm sorry to disturb you. You must be tired and want to rest. Can I wait until they're gone?" she paused, "and then headed home."
