The Fallen Tree

It had been 2 minutes. Shinigami and Gagan had been looking at Swara, whose eyes were widened and mouth was open since she had opened her inventory and looked at the loot. She was frozen in her place like a statue.

The other two couldn't see what was on her screen, but freezing in place, staring at a black cave wall, probably meant that something was either really wrong or that something is too good to be true had happened, and looking at the conditions, it looked like the latter.

Shinigami grinned and snapped his fingers in front of her, bringing her back to reality.

Once back to reality, she released that there was no skill book or equipment for mages, her anger quickly dissipated, for the moment, and she decided to show him the loot.

She handed him the objects, who took a quick look at the stuff and gave back to her the Fiery Shield and the Sorrow Reaper, keeping the Archer class stuff.

Swara was confused about why he would do that. Seeing her expression, he decided to answer the question written on her face.

"Since none of you guys is an archer, I believe you are only going to sell these, so I might as well take them off your hands," he paused a bit, "I'll be taking the Broticus Biotum skill too, if you don't mind."

{Okay, maybe he wants to make money with those, but why would he take the summoning skill that is definitely lower on the power scale than the other one? Maybe he doesn't know the colour scheme for the skill books? But all his actions point to the fact that he already knows about the game. There weren't even any beta testers for the game. Either he was also sent back in time like me, or he has cheated in some way, but cheating is next to impossible in this...}

"Hey sis, it's been a lot of time, let's just go back to the town instead of waiting here for Himu. Shinigami also said that he had to meet someone in the town, why don't we go along with him? Also, why are you looking so lost in your own world today? Are you fine?" Her train of thought was stopped by a giant Gagan standing in front of her.

"Yeah, I'm good. Sure, let's go." She said and started walking towards the entrance of the cave, quickly followed by Gagan.

Nothing notable happened on the way back to the starter town, other than, well, Gagan tripping on a stone and falling on a young medium sized tree, snapping its wood in two.

"Even the pain of falling and hitting your head on the ground is there. It's nothing compared to fighting a wyvern, why is it there? Does it really have to be this realistic?" he said, rubbing his head.

Yet, what surprised him more, was the notification that popped up in front of him.

"Chopped Alshew Tree

+3 Alshew Wood"

"Umm...WHAT?? This makes no logic. That wasn't even chopping, I just fell on it. I'll take back my statement. This is pretty unrealistic." he was surprised and... kinda outraged? Instead of being happy for the free resources?

Swara chuckled lightly at the irony of Gagan mentioning logic.

Swara had totally forgotten about this, it was an easy way to get resources. "Umm, big brother, will you please go and..." "No, I'm not going to fall on another tree just for some wood." he stopped her from finishing her sentence.

"Please?" She made her cute face.

"Okay fine, but no more than one." Maybe Himanshu wasn't totally helpless against Swara's cute face, but Gagan definitely was.

So, they did it, got 2 more Alshew Wood, and went back on their way.

When they were just about to reach the town's eastern entrance, it was Swara's turn to be surprised.

Her brother.. Himu... was talking to girls? Instead of coming back to them?

Sure, he liked the company of other girls, but giving them priority over his siblings was new. Especially little underage girls.

Author's Note: Imagine what Himu would think when he finds out that the reason for the changes in his sister's behaviour is that she got reincarnated.
