Chapter 6 Lightning Wolf

"AWOOO!"

The pack leader howled its blue streaks lit up, with a blue glow. Lightning began to course through its body before it opened its maw large amounts of lightning Qi accumulating ready to burst at any moment.

Seeing this Yun was no fool and immediately used his movement technique to circle around the wolf. In response the pack leader turned its head tracking Yun's movements with its mouth, and just as it opened its mouth a bit wider ready to launch the attack Yun sped up once again.

"WOOSH!"

"Zap."

"BOOM!"

Yun narrowly avoided the lightning bolt, a tree some distance away from him blowing up from the force of the attack. But this was a good outcome. 'I can still defeat this wolf.' He thought as the pale white Qi around his body began condensing further.

His figure blurred, leaving an afterimage before reappearing above the pack leader sword piercing towards it. Lightning coursing through its body, the wolf clawed at the sword.

Man and Wolf collided, the air around them vibrated under the power of their collision. The ground under the pack leader caved in slightly, while Yun was pushed back into the air. Their blows were equally matched.

Landing on the ground, the pack leader was immediately upon Yun once again, this time its jaw bit towards him as if trying to eat the boy alive. Heaving his sword up high, Yun's Qi roiled like a mighty wave as it folded in on itself.

'1st Layered Wave, Unidirectional Wave!' With that thought Yun swung his sword downwards. The sheer might of the attack was enough to scare the wolf, causing it to give up on its own attack, the sword cutting into its left shoulder instead.

This was naturally the right call on the wolf's end, as otherwise it would have died under Yun's attack. Unfortunately for it, the damage it received was still rather high almost losing its entire left shoulder.

But the wolf wasn't a regular wolf, it was a the head of its pack, the leader and a mutated Lightning Wolf at that. With Yun right in front of it, the wolf opened its maw as Lightning coursed through its body once again.

'Fuck!' Yun thought as he tried to pull out his sword and evade the attack, but unfortunately he had cut too deep into the wolf's shoulder cause the heavy sword to be stuck. And that brief pause was all the wolf needed.

"Zap."

"BOOM!"

Taking a lightning bolt at point black range, Yun was thrown over 30 meters away before crashing into a tree which then proceeded to split due to the force at which the boy hit it at. "My sword." Yun muttered as he weakly got up.

'After that attack I don't know if I can still beat the wolf, especially without my sword.' He thought before rushing towards the wolf. First thing he needed to do was retrieve his sword, regardless of the cost.

On the other hand the Lightning Wolf howled once again before clawing towards the boy. Moving as nimbly as he could, Yun sidestepped the claw, jumping onto the wolf's back before grasping his sword with both hands.

"SCHINK!"

"SPURT!"

Yun pulled his sword out of the wolf's shoulder, blood erupting from the wound. Immediately the boy turned his sword stabbing the tip at the wolf's head from above. In an instant the world turned on its side attempting to crush Yun.

The boy jumped off the wolf's back rolling away as the ground quaked under the wolf's weight. He'd barely gotten away, but the fight wasn't over yet. Getting up off the ground Yun shot towards the wolf, the Qi which was previously wrapped around his body wrapping around his sword as he lifted it up high.

Simultaneously the Lightning Wolf rose from the ground, lightning zapping around its body. It seemed as though it was at its wits end and decided to go for a full power attack even at the cost of its own life.

'One sword, this is my last chance! If I don't push myself here I'll die!' Yun thought to himself, as his Qi folded in on itself before roiling madly. And then something spectacular happened. Due to the fierceness at which it roiled, his Qi began to fold once again before roiling with even greater fierceness.

Concurrently more and more lightning Qi gathered inside the wolf's jaw becoming denser and denser. This bolt alone was stronger than any other previous lightning bolt the wolf had released prior.

And then Yun swung his sword downwards, the wolf releasing the lightning Qi as a burst, no a beam of lightning Qi erupted.

The heavy sword hit the beam, stalling for a moment, before cutting into and slicing the lightning beam in two, its tip barely cutting across the wolf's nose.

"Haaa!" Yun breathed out before he fell to the ground still clutching his sword. A red line then appeared extending from the wolf's nose to the end of its back, before it split in two dead.
