Test Of Strength (2)

Clashing with Shen on both sides, Urahara and Rukia's blades were caught mid-swing by Shen. Seeing this, Rukia let an icy aura from her blade cause Shen's arm to freeze almost instantly. Feeling the cold invading his body, Shen lit his right arm ablaze, dealing with the ice. "Not bad, but…" Letting go of Urahara's Zanpakuto, Shen twisted his body and raised his right leg.'

Putting up a barrier around his body, Urahara braised for impact as Shen's leg sent him hurdling away like a ball. Turning his attention back to Rukia, he quickly reached out and grabbed her by her clothes before she could back away. Raising her, he proceeded to slam her entire body into the ground.

Shen had personally made sure not to use specific abilities during this test. That included Kamui and a few other abilities. After all, he didn't need them to be stronger than him just strong enough. With that in mind, Shen turned his head to the side and saw two crimson slashes of energy flying directly towards him.

Balling his hand into a fist, he faced the two attacks head-on. Pulling back his arm, Shen coated his arm in Haki before punching. Like glass, the two attacks were shattered, exploding into a cloud of red smoke. "Oh?" Releasing a burst of pressure from his body, he cleared away the smoke only to find himself surrounded.

In every direction, there was a giant ball of Reiryoku primed and waiting. Appearing outside of this mind field was Midoriya, who, with a single gesture, made all of those frozen Kido spells fire at once. "Well, that was smart." Looking down at his feet, Rukia was already gone and left in her place was an entire area frozen, keeping Shen's legs in their place.

"Senior Urahara!" Calling out to Urahara, Midoriya watched as all of his Kido spells exploded into a pillar of surging energy. Appearing next to Midoriya after his call was Urahara, and together the two of them raised their hands to the sky and began to chant as the explosion continued to rage.

"Seeping crest of turbidity. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny! Grow numb and flicker! Disrupt sleep! Crawling queen of iron! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Fill with soil and know your powerlessness!" Speaking in unity, the two of their powers combined as a dark aura was released from their hands. "Hado #90: Kurohitsugi!" As the space within Shen's dimension began to bend, the massive explosion was enveloped in a large dark box. Appearing beside the two of them was Rukia, who had her eyes focused on the Kurohitsugi box just like the other two.

"Do you think he's okay?" Looking at the other two, Midoriya didn't know precisely how touchable Shen's body was, so when he saw no reaction; he began to worry. "You should worry more about what's going to happen when he breaks out," Urahara speaking honestly, his eyes narrowed, and Midoriya tried to understand what he meant.

However, before he could ask, the entire box began to crack and shatter. Accompanying the shattering of the rank ninety Kido was a loud howl. A giant dog-like beast with multiple heads pierced through with black stakes, and strange eyes appeared. Standing on top of that best was Shen seeming, almost unharmed.

"All right then time to switch to Plan B." Speaking out loud, Urahara and the others nodded to one another as the multi-headed dog attacked. Running at full speed, the trio broke in different directions causing its attack to miss. Raising her Zanpakuto into the air. "San no mai, Shirafune!" Instead of her sword only growing in length, its entire blade and hilt were changed in size, creating what seemed to be a brand new sword.

Slashing downwards towards Shen, he quickly moved out the way; however, the multi-headed dog was not spared from the attack. Being cut clean in half, both sides of the dog froze and fell to the ground, shattering. After leaping away, Shen landed on the ground, not too far away before looking towards Rukia once again.

At a blur like speed, she began attacking Shen in fluidity. Dodging each attack by just a hair's length, it felt like teasing. She was close to hitting him each time, but she always fell short. Of course, Shen was doing this on purpose. It was as Shen did this that Urahara and Midoriya rushed him from behind.

Pooling all of his energy into a single punch, Midoriya attacked in sync with Rukia's slash. Reaching out with both of his hands, a tense shock wave shot out as Shen caught Rukia's blade along with Midoriya's punch. The Spiritual Energy coating his blow reacted with Shen's causing a crease of electricity to flow through his arm.

However, despite stopping two of their attacks, one remained. Using a flash step, Urahara appeared in front of Shen with his blade pointed straight at the tip of his neck. Looking face to face with one another, Urahara smiled. "You're way too fast for us." Glancing up slightly, a golden palm belonging to the 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva lingered above his head.

"Well, that's good enough, I guess." In truth, when it came to that Kurohitsugi combo, they performed would have done in someone that wasn't Shen. That, coupled with the fact he knew they weren't trying to kill him, he felt they were strong enough for now. "I think we have been in here for a good hour or two." As everyone put away their weapons, Shen brought them back to the real world.

In the time Shen was testing the strength of the trio, something else interesting happened. "Who do these guys think they are, huh!" A pale man with bluish-grey hair seemed to be in a stressed-out mood as he kept scratching at his neck. "Their stunts have completely ruined my plans." Sitting on a chair in a location similar to a bar, a strange man whose body was coated in a purplish fog replied to him.

"Yes, most of the world is still trying to figure out how they moved an entire city while trying not to gloss over their other attacks and antics." Hearing Kurogiri say that Tomaru scratched at his neck even harder. "The League Of Villains can't become a reality if one already exists. There has never been such a large group of villains working so openly like this, and the worst part is places like UA can't even touch them."

Thanks to Shen, the League Of Villains couldn't make its debut. With Shen's 'group' taking the spotlight, the League Of Villains would be pushed off to the side at best. "I want to kill him… One touch and he would disappear…" Speaking with a large amount of blood lust in his voice Kurogiri was used to Tomaru's personality, but Shen was indeed causing issues.

"I can understand your feelings; however, we mustn't be rash." A calm yet imposing voice came from a monitor attached to one of the bar's walls. Being set to sound only, Tomaru calmed himself in response. "But, Sensei…" Wanting to say something but stopping himself, the voice continued.

"Be patient. No group acts without reason, and theirs will be revealed soon enough. Continue building up your League Of Villains, so when it is truly revealed to the world, it will be ready." Tomaru's voice was filled with respect as he responded. "Yes Sensei, I promise I won't fail you. When the League Of Villains is revealed, I swear it will be something that can shake this world."

Shen could guess things like this were happening, but after his announcement, he doubted he would have to worry about it. The moment Urahara finished the device, he already knew exactly what he would have to say. All he needed to do was lite the spark, and the rest would boil together by itself. Though if he failed, it would be pretty embarrassing since he would have to do it twice.

And so the remaining days passed by until the fated completion. "Master Shen, it's done." Urahara's voice entered Shen's ears as he yawned. Looking at Shen waking up from his nap from the other side of the warehouse, Midoriya asked a question. "With your abilities, you don't need to sleep, so why do you take so many naps?"

In his free time, Shen mostly slept, which not only puzzled Midoriya but also Urahara. Glancing over, Shen sat up before answering. "Cause it feels nice to sleep even when you don't have to." Hearing the stoic reply, the two of them were left speechless as Shen took the device out of Urahara's hand.

The concept was simple with a flip of a switch; it would intercept every broadcast in the city they were in and surrounding ones and instead show precisely what's in front of the device. Seeing the device for the first time, Midoriya walked over and asked a question. "So, where are you going to use it? If they interrupt you midway, it could be problematic."

Shen smiled to himself and immediately thought of a place. "They say a criminal always returns to the scene of the crime, right?"

Agh Im going back to school tomorrow so hopefully, I can adapt to a life of not having infinite free time. Hope you enjoyed the chapter :P
