A skin without flesh

It was a little sunny but the sun stood far away in the blue sky, enough to shine its light mixed with a little hotness. I stood near the ice cream shop staring at him from far away.Ford caught my eye and waved, calling me there on the bench he was sitting and he always chose the same one, so I won't have a problem finding him. I started to walk, still staring right in his black as raven eyes.To be honest I couldn't take my eyes off his eyes, maybe because they were deep that when one would stare in them, they would fall deeply inside.

I remember the first time I met Ford, four

years ago. He still looked perfectly the same except that his legs grew, making him tall.  From inside, he was still like a fourteen-year-old.

I picked up the ice-cream, took some money out of my little wallet and put it on the counter.

Ford kept passing funny faces to me that made me giggle.

Two minutes later, I realized that the shopkeeper still hadn't taken the money.  I turned my eyes to the fat man It felt like something was wrong with him, something very wrong.

"Are you okay sir?" I asked hesitantly.

He didn't reply, nor moved and stood in the exact same position as if he was in some kind of shock.

I slowly touched his hand to make him respond, still not sure if it was a prank. But instead of feeling his skin, I only felt cold.  I felt as if that man had no body temperature.  Soon enough he started turning blue.

"Sir!" I shaked him twice but still there was not even a slight movement.

That scared me to death.  I grabbed my phone and ran outside.

"Help!" I yelled " Something is wrong with the ice cream man"

Right in front was an old man walking with a stick. He heard me yelling.

"Is he there?" He pointed to the ice cream shop and I nodded. We both walked inside.  I walked a lot slower so the old man won't feel weak. This also was be because I usually walked slowly with my grand father and this old man looked kind of his age.

The ice cream man was now very blue and frozen. I ran, holding his hand, and rubbed it against mine. The old man looked desperate trying to figure out what's wrong with him.

"You must be tired sir, I'll get a chair for you," I told the coughing old man.

I ran outside and picked up a chair resting against the wall usually kept there for the senior citizens.

I was walking towards the shop with the chair when I realized that the coughing now stopped. Maybe the old man now feels fine. As soon as I reached the shop, I saw that the old man stood there doing nothing.

"Here you go, sir"

I put the chair down and put a hand on his shoulder. I felt it again, the cold.
