Bureau of Civil Affairs

Donald was a bit surprised when Sophia's cell phone called.

He glanced across at Sophia.

Was that her, "Need Iron"?

Sophia greeted the caller with a "Hello."

But Donald didn't hear anything from the receiver. The line was busy, according to what he could see on his phone. The voice call was unsuccessful.

He was obsessing over it.

It was hard to identify her at that point since so many people in the foyer were talking on the phone.

Right at that moment, "Need Iron" texted. I apologize; I'm currently working on something. Let's set a new time.

on the roof.

Sophia was texting "Grandson" and taking calls from Samson.

Samson boasted, "Hey, boss, how are you doing? You haven't performed any repairs in a long time, right?

Sophia murmured softly, "If you are free, help me find out Donald's private number, so I don't have to stalk him over and over again."

She could contact him every hour to remind him to check with the Civil Affairs Bureau if she could acquire his number. Even if he didn't believe this ridiculous notion, he would investigate after receiving so many phone calls.

Samson voiced his displeasure right away, asking how his private number could be found. Do you not realize that there is nothing on the internet about him? It required a great deal of work to ascertain his personal timetable."

"That's because you're useless."

As Sophia hung up, she noticed Kiwi glaring at her with disdain. "Miss Johnson, the private phone number of my boss is kept private." The common person cannot understand it."

Sophia made fun of him. "Do you believe that one day, not only will I have your boss's phone number but also his Messenger?"

The divorce process was a little difficult, and she would undoubtedly communicate with Donald more frequently going forward.

"What a daydream!" said Kiwi.

Kiwi was just getting started when Sophia's phone rang. "Grandson" messaged on Messenger. "Call me anytime when you're free."

* Sophia fixed the air conditioner ten minutes later.

She gave a loud clap of her hands. "The cooling performance of the air conditioner was impacted by the accumulation of debris in the filter due to prolonged use. Now that I changed it, it works properly.

Kiwi no longer felt as furious against her after witnessing how quickly and simply she resolved the issue.

Kiwi personally led her downstairs so she wouldn't pursue Donald once again.

"Miss Johnson, there will be no signed delivery from now on, and no electrical appliances will be damaged on the rooftop," he stated solemnly at the entry.

Though she understood what he meant, Sophia merely smiled and said, "Well, see you at noon."

She pivoted and departed.

Kiwi was baffled.

He ignored her advice and went back to the terrace.

Donald had a lunch meeting at noon.

Even though he didn't enjoy parties, he had to honor of feasting now that he was back in his own land, even though they weren't common.

Kiwi went with him the whole way.

As they approached a private dining establishment, Kiwi became increasingly watchful upon observing the uniformed servers and waitresses.

If students wanted to work while they studied, wasn't the most popular part-time employment that they picked to be waitresses?

His eyes swept over nearly every server and waitress in the restaurant, and he didn't let out a sigh of relief until he failed to see Sophia.

But he soon saw that what he had done was absurd.

Sophia was already employed as a repair technician and a delivery driver. How could she get a second job?

How could her simple words "see you at noon" have worried him so much?

Kiwi entered the private area at a relaxing moment, right before the head chef arrived to show his respects and the dinner was served.

"Everyone, are you satisfied with today's meal?"

Kiwi stiffened at the sound of the well-known female voice!

He looked again, as if he had seen a ghost, and saw Sophia wearing a chef's hat as she stood at the entrance. As she presented the foods of the day, a gentle grin pulled at her lips. When she eventually approached Donald, she said in a hushed tone, "Donald, you should go check the Civil Affairs Bureau."

Donald was unable to speak.

His normally composed visage displayed a touch of anxiety as he tightened his jaw.

Gazing at her, Kiwi was even more taken aback "You... You're the chef? You're certified for it as well?"

"Yup."

Sophia unintentionally dropped one, two, three, four, five job licenses as she went for her belt pocket to take out her chef license!

Kiwi forcefully gulped. "You've got five part-time jobs?"

"No," said Sophia.

Kiwi sighed with relief to hear her speak quietly, but then

"There are some that I didn't bring with me."

Kiwi gasped.

Sophia turned to face Donald, her face beaming. "Any task, Donald, I can handle. Why don't you check with the Civil Affairs Bureau first? I doubt that you would want me to trouble you more."

Donald's expression did not relax.

The woman had lustful eyes and a flirtatious manner of speaking. The others at the supper table were focusing their attention on her.

Instantly Donald's expression clouded, but he continued to ignore Sophia. "Go check it out," he urged, turning to face Kiwi.

Sophia felt a deep inner joy.

Had she finally won this man over?

However, she then heard his icy remarks. "Who leaked my schedule?" …

Kiwi moved forward, obstructing Sophia once more. "Miss Johnson, please leave immediately."

Sophia sighed as she stood outside the private door after being escorted out one more.

How come this man wouldn't simply trust her?

She was starting to feel a bit irritated, even with her tolerance.

She just waited outside, refusing to go.

Had she ever had treatment like this in the last few years?

Her anger increased with her continued reflections.

Sophia pulled out her phone to find someone to vent to, but there was no one in her Messenger contacts. She wrote a piece for her narrative.

inside the personal space.

While eating, everyone complimented Donald.

This was getting on his nerves, so he pulled out his phone and appeared to be doing something else.

Out of boredom, he checked into his tale and noticed that "Need Iron" had posted anything two minutes prior. "Stop being upset. With little brats, patience is required."

Donald was a little surprised.

"Need Iron" was the first text he sent. "Exactly how old are you? It seems that you are a grandfather already."

He cannot allow an old woman to look after his grandma.

"Need Iron" was answered with a "?"

"Need Iron" penned, "Do you mean my narrative? I was swearing at someone! Someone who never comprehends my words!"

Donald was unable to speak.

It was only then that he realized how foolish he had been.

In an attempt to cover his shame, he sent a message. "The brain is essential to daily life. It's possible the individual thought it was a decoration."

"I need iron," it said. "I enjoy that. Continue as before."

Donald pursed his mouth into a sly smile. "Only people deserve to be laughed at. Disregard him.

"Need Iron" remarked, "I'll give Granny an extra meal tonight because you're so articulate." Does she follow any particular diet?"

According to Donald, "The doctor said to eat less sweet and spicy food, but anything else goes."

"Need Iron" replied, "No problem."

Their conversation always felt so soothing to Donald, like he was talking to an old friend.

"Can I visit Granny tonight?" he asked abruptly.

"Need Iron" said, "Obviously. You're welcome at all times.

She then mailed a thorough address that included her room number.
