Chapter 14: King In Dark Of The Abysmal Kingdom And Miguel's Proclamation

Deep within the vast expanse of the void, beyond the reach of mortals, there existed a being of immense power known as the King in Dark. He was a being shrouded in mystery, feared and revered by all who knew of him.

It was said that the King in Dark had the power to control the lesser void to his will in a singular thought. With this power, he created abysmal beasts that roamed the void, spreading fear and chaos wherever they went.

These beasts were cruel and twisted, born of the dark energies that permeated the void. They were known to devour the souls of those foolish enough to venture too close, trapping them in a never-ending cycle of torment and misery.

The King in Dark was the undisputed ruler of the abysmal kingdom, where madness and chaos reigned supreme. Here, he sat upon his throne of darkness, plotting his next move and spreading his influence further into the multiverses.

Many believed that the King in Dark was a being of pure evil, driven by a desire for power and destruction. Others whispered that he was driven mad by the endless void, forever searching for something that could bring him peace.

Whatever the truth may be, one thing was certain - the King in Dark was a being to be feared and respected. His power was unmatched, his influence undeniable. And as long as he remained in control, the void would remain a place of darkness and terror, where only the bravest and most foolish dared to tread.

The King in Dark watched from his throne as the abysmal beasts roamed the void, their twisted forms causing waves of fear and terror to spread throughout the universe. He was the king of this domain, the ruler of the abysmal kingdom, and he knew that he was the one who transcended the lower worlds.

"I am the one who is beyond the primordial dreams," he declared, his voice echoing across the void. "The lesser void and my kingdom are beyond all that mortals can comprehend and incomprehend. I am the eternal darkness, the chaos that defies order."

As he spoke, the King in Dark's eyes glowed with an unholy light, and the abysmal beasts grew more frenzied, their cries of madness and despair ringing through the void.

"But there is a prophecy," he continued, his voice growing colder and more menacing with each word. "A prophecy that foretells of a man in a trenchcoat who will train a young man in the primordial dreams to defeat me. They will come for me, these mortal fools, with their feeble weapons and their precious dreams. But they will not succeed. For I am the King in Dark, and I am eternal."

The King in Dark leaned forward on his throne, his eyes glowing brighter still. "Let them come," he snarled. "Let them try to defeat me. They will find only death and despair in this abysmal kingdom, and they will know that they have dared to defy me."

And with that, the King in Dark settled back into his throne, his dark laughter echoing across the void. The prophecy may be foretold, but he knew that he was beyond the mortal realm, and that his power was absolute.

The King in Dark held a floating ball in his hand, gazing upon it with a cold detachment. "This is the lesser worlds," he stated, his voice echoing across the void. "It is here that the primordial dreams are found, the singularities that hold upon the dimensions, the dimensions that hold upon the multiverses and universes."

As he spoke, the infinite multitude of abysmal beasts that surrounded him muttered and growled, their voices a discordant chorus of anger and fear.

"These are only a handful of human level planes," they hissed. "The lesser worlds are the ant beneath your boot. They are nothing, compared to your power."

The King in Dark chuckled darkly, his grip tightening on the ball as he considered the beasts' words. "What you say is true," he agreed. "The lesser worlds are but an ant that I can crush into oblivion by pure strength alone. I can destroy them all, with a thought."

He held out his hand, and the ball shattered into a million pieces, the shards dissipating into the void.

"But I will not," he said, his voice softening. "For the ant and the king are not so different. Both are born of the void, and both must struggle to survive in a cosmos that cares nothing for their existence. I cannot destroy the ant, lest I destroy myself."

The King in Dark turned his gaze back to the multitude of abysmal beasts, his eyes burning with an unholy light. "And those who would seek to oppose me," he whispered. "Those who would dare to challenge my rule. They will be crushed beneath my heel, their dreams shattered and their souls devoured by the abysmal beasts. For I am the King in Dark, and none shall defy me."

With that, the beasts fell silent, cowed once more by their dark master's power. The King in Dark leaned back in his throne, his eyes fixed upon the endless expanse of the void. For now, at least, he was content. But the prophecy still loomed over him, and he knew that his reign of terror could not last forever.

As the King in Dark gazed upon the empty void where the ball he had shattered had been, he suddenly felt a surge of interest, and a regenerated new ball coalesced in his hand.

"It seems that I cannot be rid of this ball so easily," he mused, turning the ball over in his fingers. "It must have a greater purpose, one that I cannot yet discern."

But even as he spoke, the King in Dark knew deep down what the purpose of the ball was. It was tied to the prophecy, the one that foretold of the man in the trenchcoat, Avatar, and the young boy named Adam. They were the ones who would attempt to defeat him, to put an end to his reign of terror once and for all.

The King in Dark's eyes narrowed, his grip tightening on the ball. He had long scoffed at the prophecy, believing himself to be invincible. But now, as he considered the possibility that it might be true, he felt a tingle of excitement.

He did not fear Avatar or Adam. He knew that they were only mortals, bound to the laws of time and space. But he was intrigued by the challenge they presented, the potential for a battle of epic proportions.

"It's too soon to let them die out," he murmured, gazing upon the flickering image of Avatar and Adam in the ball. "I want to see what these mortals are capable of. I want to feel their strength, to watch them struggle against the darkness that I embody."

The King in Dark laughed, the sound echoing through the void. "Let them come," he declared. "Let them face the darkness, the abysmal beasts, and the ant that defies me. I am the King in Dark, and I am ready for whatever they may bring."

The King in Dark sat upon his throne, the abysmal beasts surrounding him, as he made a proclamation. "Allowing that I know there are many beings above me!" he declared. "I am the King in Dark. I rule the lesser void, a great barrier to stop the Ancients from the Land of Ancients. But even I know that there are forces greater than myself in the beyond."

He paused, his eyes darkening as he continued. "But I have seen things," he said, his voice growing colder and more menacing. "I have seen a boy named Steven, who rose through the ranks of the Ancients to become Keres Briar. I have seen John, a philosopher who died but knew that there were worlds beyond. I have seen the civilizations becoming transcendental civilizations, and many have come to become beings in the ranks of power."

The King in Dark leaned forward, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity. "But nothing, nothing except Keres Briar, can challenge me!" he roared. "I am the King in Dark, the ruler of the abysmal kingdom. I am the eternal darkness, the chaos that defies order. And I will not be defeated by mere mortals. Let them come, let them try to stop me. But they will fail. For I am THE KING IN DARK!"

As he finished speaking, the abysmal beasts howled, the sound echoing through the void. The King in Dark laughed, a dark and twisted sound that sent shivers down the spines of all who heard it.

For a moment, he basked in the power that he wielded, reveling in the fear and respect that he commanded. He was the King in Dark, and none could defy him. Not even the forces that lay beyond the void itself.

As the King in Dark basked in his power, reveling in the fear and respect that he commanded, a voice suddenly spoke out. "Are you sure?" the voice asked, and the King in Dark turned to see a figure cloaked in darkness standing before him.

"Who are you?" the King in Dark demanded, his eyes narrowing as he took in the stranger's appearance. But there was something about this figure that was different, something that sent a shiver down the King in Dark's spine.

The stranger stepped forward, his voice cold and controlled. "You are not greater than humanity's will," he said. "You already know who I am. I am the will of 'HIM.' I became something greater than the lower worlds, and I am much stronger as I transcends you all in a matter of seeing you all as entirely as an infinitesimal. In other words, even if you see the lesser worlds as ants, including your infinite stacked layers below you who see that those are ants, and you compared yourself to them as yourself greater than them."

Miguel continued to speak, his words growing stronger and more powerful with each passing moment. "Even if you see your infinite stacked layers below as ants, while those layers see the lesser worlds as ants, I, Miguel, will of Someone Greater, will of the primordial narrator, the one who destroyed the decay and came in the ranks of the upper cosmos, i am greater than you."

For the first time in his existence, the King in Dark felt fear. The stranger's words were meant to unsettle him, to make him doubt his own power and authority. And it was working. As Miguel disappeared, leaving the King in Dark alone in the void, the King knew that he had encountered a being far stronger and more powerful than he had ever imagined.

Still, the King in Dark did not back down. He was the ruler of the abysmal kingdom, and he would not let anyone challenge his power. As the abysmal beasts surrounding him snarled and growled, the King in Dark vowed to do whatever it took to retain his position as the ultimate ruler of the lesser void.
