Beginning of Game

I was just relaxing in my room. Outside my shop, I had set up a sign declaring my leave from the bakery for the next week or so. It'll probably affect business, but there is much more fun stuff to do at the moment. For example, I get to fight with the other Elementals again.

Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Time appeared in my room.

"Seriously, doors exist," I complained.

"I'm just here to tell you that the games have already begun," Time said to me. "These are the humans of each respective Elemental."

Pictures appeared in my hands.

"Wait... they know what the humans look like?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Well, great for telling me," I placed the pictures to the side. "Thanks for letting me know how screwed I am. Also, I just happen to know where one of them should be."

"Have a good experience."

"I'll try."

I sighed, patting down the red shirt I was wearing. I grabbed my black trenchcoat from my coat rack and left the bakery. I slid the pictures into my trenchcoat pockets, just in case I need to confirm the face of any humans.

From the looks of it, it probably won't be easy for me to find them.

The others probably have a much easier time. Well, that was if one of the humans wasn't the boss of the club that was hiding the human I was meant to protect.

I turned into flames and appeared nearby the alleyway, trying to figure out if any Elementals were around the area. Dark knew about the human I was supposed to protect, she might have told the others.

A black scythe appeared out of nowhere and cut my head clean off. I staggered, my head already reforming as I looked around. The head that fell down vanished into flames. Looking around, nobody was there. Judging by the brief glimpse of the weapon, it was probably Dark. She's annoying to deal with because she could turn invisible and permeable.

Yeah, I can't detect her heat because she doesn't have an internal temperature.

"Dark, very classy," I commented. "Sneaking up on me."

I noticed a glint in the corner of my eye. It was the reflection of the sun on a solid black barrel of a sniper some distance away. I put my hand in front of my face, but the bullet shot straight through my hand and through my head. Dark vanished from the building and appeared right in front of me, a dark blade in hand. I managed to dodge some of her swings until the blade changed into a scythe.

She swung the scythe wide, cutting through the nearby buildings. After her swing, I got closer to try and attack. She grabbed my face and tried staring me directly in the eyes. I reached out to dig two fingers into her eyes, telling her, "Yeah, don't feel like doing that at the moment."

She grabbed my hand and we melted into the darkness.

I lit my surroundings in flames, reappearing where we had entered the darkness. Dark herself was already healed and glaring at me. She stepped away, saying, "I'll make sure to kill your human the moment she exits that door. You better keep watch."

"You realise we don't have to kill them, right?" I asked her.

"I do," She confirmed, stepping away from me.

She glanced back, a sinister smile on her face. "And I'm here to win it all."

She vanished just in time for me to get launched backwards at high speeds. I crashed into a nearby clothes store, getting tangled up in all the clothes as I rolled to a stop. I ripped the clothing off, and the humans started to panic.

"Don't mind me," I told them, looking ahead. "Just... you might want to run."

My chest was deformed and sizzling, taking a much longer time to heal. I looked ahead to see a tall man with a tanned body and wavy blond hair. His eyes were the colour of the sea, blue so sharp that the women nearby who saw him started to swoon. He was shirtless, revealing his ripped build. He wore a pair of ripped jeans. Between his collarbone, was a scar of a water droplet. He had a confident smile on his face as he slowly approached me.

"Water," I called out, stepping out of the store. "I thought you weren't participating."

"I'm not," He agreed. "But, Dark gave me a pretty sweet deal."

Water was grinning. "Stall you, and I get a single soul of my choosing."

"Of course, she would," I grumbled. "Just be honest, you just want to fight me."

He nodded. "Yeah, and I don't have a human to protect."

Was this against the rules? Well, I guess Time never mentioned anything about the intervention of other Elementals. Water readied himself and swept a hand in my direction. A wave appeared out of thin air and whipped me into the wall, crashing into the next store over.

I shot fire in his direction, but he easily countered.

My body sizzled as it tried to evaporate the water on me. The water droplets froze over and stabbed into my body, causing the sizzle to intensify, even producing a high-pitched noise. I melted the ice off but was immediately hit with another blast of water that got me crashing through some jewellery boxes.

I struggled to get up just to taunt him, "Just gonna fight from all the way over there?"

"I mean, if you want me to get closer," He shrugged.

He snapped, a blue trident appearing in his hands. He approached me and stabbed at me, the trident stabbing through my body and pinning me to the ground. I vanished into a cloud of flames to escape, but a downpour occurred in the building, causing me to return to my original form.

"Damn..." I groaned, getting up as the rain kept getting stronger.

My body still sizzled. My body was slightly deformed as it was unable to regenerate fast enough to completely counter his attacks. I swept above me, evaporating all of the rain. Water tried stabbing me with his trident again, but I caught it with my hands.

He blew at me.

From where I was touching the trident, my arms froze over. After a slight tug, my arms shattered and vanished my body reformed itself. I ran out of the building and vanished as quickly as I could. I could hear Water laughing in the background.

"Next time I'll get you for sure!" He called out.

Water of all Elementals just had to get in my way.
