The Undying Star

A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?

Blood.

Blood was everywhere.

His hands, his clothes, his skin. The ground he stepped on... It was dyed crimson with blood. Everywhere he went a trail of blood was left. He was drowning in a sea of blood.

-Master. Master, where are you going? Wait!

The child asked him to wait, but how could he? How could he turn around and show his bloodied figure to that little light? No way in hell he would do that. No way!

-Master!!

"Human, what's wrong?"

At a male voice, he froze for a second. That elf boy… He too was… Ian's eyes couldn't see. He couldn't see but the boy was too, covered in blood.

"Ian, hold on a second!"

Even his master. Even his noble young master.
