The Undying Star

A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?

If the situation allowed

"Don't worry, commander." Ian raised his palms to his chest. A gentle hallo burst out from his body.

"I won't betray my country."

His country, this side of the plain, while the other end of it was a foreign land. Menaberg. The second most powerful country in the continent after The Empire as well as its greatest enemy. The land between the two was labeled as a border, one that was nearly impossible to cross for ordinary people.

"What do you want, little prince? Why are you showing your face now of all time?"

The swordmaster asked while watching the enemy troops rush at them. Ian peeked at Alaric and Zal. They were busy discussing the bizarreness of this man's aura, so none could hear their words.

"Since now is the right time..."

"To pull down that man from his throne?"

"Probably."

"Don't drag me into that mess."
