The Undying Star

A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?

A hidden place

Upon stepping past the cathedral's backdoor, a dim tunnel came into view. Dragged along the unending metallic road barely lit by the weak glow of overused magic lamps, the slightly wet irony flooring reflected their shadows, the clicks of heels echoing louder the deeper they walked. The road up ahead, in contrast to the town's lively atmosphere was dark and gloomy, the air thick and heavy to breathe in. As if this place wasn't somewhere inside the glorious land of the Sun.

"Where are they taking us to? Prison?"

At the low whisper, Felix threateningly growled.

"Shut up, you fucker! What's in your mind? What do you want from me?"

The knights glared at the two but were completely ignored.

"Why are you so harsh on me?! I just want to help you out!"
