Building a Clan II

"You're quick-witted," Zamira acknowledged. "As for your question, it's possible, but it would be foolish.

If an alien life attempts to take over a child, their memories and original self are eras…." Her voice trailed off suddenly, her lips pressed tightly together as if some unseen force had silenced her. It was already too late.

Panic flashed in her eyes as she tried to speak, but her mouth refused to obey. The fear that gripped her heart was palpable—what had she done?

"Zamira, Zamira…" Oga's voice called out to her, but it seemed as though her consciousness had drifted far away. Her body remained, but her mind was lost in a terrifying void.

Oga and Nuu exchanged confused glances, their worry deepening with each passing second. The moment Zamira's words escaped her lips, an unbearable weight settled on her chest, as though invisible hands were tightening around her heart.

She sank to her knees, her posture one of desperate supplication as if pleading with the void itself for mercy.

Her mouth, curiously sweetened, mocked her racing heart, a bitter irony in the taste. Then, she heard it—a cold emotionless voice: "Only because it's you, shall I let this matter go. But mark this: I shall claim a life; your husband or the child?"

A terror unlike anything she had ever known seized her, rendering her unable to breathe or speak. Her world became blinding white, her senses overwhelmed by the intensity of the moment.

"Make haste, mortal!" the voice commanded, and just as suddenly, her voice returned.

"Is my life not enough?" Zamira's plea hung in the air, met only by a deafening silence. The voice returned, cold and unyielding: "You're too weak for a second option! Now make your choice, lest I make it for you!"

Cornered by this impossible ultimatum, Zamira made a heart-wrenching decision.

"So, you're willing to give your firstborn," the voice mused, a tone of cruel surprise in its words. "I did not expect this from you… Does that man mean so much to you, Zamira of the faint smile?"

"....."

"You will not know the day or the hour, but remember this—I will take that child's life." With that, the voice fell silent, leaving behind an eerie warning. "The night have eyes, speak not a word!"

" Zamira... Zamira!" Oga's face grew darker with each passing second that his wife remained unresponsive.

Suddenly, Zamira gasped for breath, her chest heaving as she returned to herself, the eerie silence broken by her labored breathing.

Oga's eyes filled with concern as he noticed the anguish on his wife's pale face. He drew her close, his worry evident.

Nuu quickly brought the last potion and handed it to her.

"I'm sorry, Oga. I'm truly sorry!" Zamira's voice quivered. She couldn't reveal the truth—doing so would mean certain death. All she could manage was a brave façade.

She understood that their firstborn will face the same fate as Kingsley' descendant.

"What's wrong?" Oga asked urgently, his voice filled with concern. But all he received was a gentle smile from Zamira.

"It seems I'm still tired from our last session," she jested, masking the harsh reality with her words. How could she possibly tell him that she had chosen their child as a sacrifice because of her mistake?

Zamira had unwittingly sacrificed her firstborn future without them realizing it.

Three hours later, her anxiety had eased somewhat as she forced herself to maintain a semblance of normalcy.

The conversation shifted, and Nuu, in an attempt to lighten the mood, jokingly mentioned sensing multiple presences within their bedroom the past three days.

He knew well that Zamira would never permit Oga to bring women into their chambers. Faced with this, she felt compelled to reveal the truth about the "Three Bodies in One."

Nuu was surprised, yet his mind connected the dot deducing something even Oga hadn't considered.

Nuu finally understood why Zamira sought the True Soul Splitting Technique, which he had sold to the 9th Prince Amon. She was angry because he had given away her way to escape death.

Moreover, she was a pawn of Heaven's Will. Those born with the Exalted Physique live and die at the whims of their Master.

Nuu shared his thoughts with Oga.

'He's too clever for his good,' Oga thought, attempting to shift the conversation and advising Nuu not to discuss his revelations with Zamira. Everyone has their secrets, and it's best not to pry unless they're willing to share.

Oga felt relieved by Zamira's theories about transmigration. However, Nuu was unaware of Oga's near-miss with erasure. His suspicion of Oga being a foreign invader dropped from 39% to 2% chance.

What Zamira and Nuu were unaware of, though, was that after the great battle with Kingsley, Heaven's Will required periodic rest—every 1.2 million years. It was during one of these moments that Oga's transmigration was spared.

Once Zamira had thoroughly calmed down and her vitals had stabilized, their conversation shifted.

"I know you don't want to hear the details of Argina, but do not be surprised if our household comes under siege shortly. Just know you'll benefit from the harvest," Oga said.

"...."

Half an hour followed, and they delved into their diverse research interests.

Oga elaborated on his various potion concoctions and the intricacies of cross-breeding. He also discussed the challenge he faced with Jocelyn's consciousness. Zamira, eager to help, took on the task with enthusiasm.

She had her plan and was thrilled to discover that a Grade 5 Sea of Consciousness was within reach and well-preserved.

Her excitement was beyond words. Her husband was simply invaluable. 'Just maybe I can do it! And free myself!' Zamira thought, She was thoroughly enraged.

Not long after, Nuu and Zamira engaged in a delightful discussion about poetry. In gratitude for the autograph, Nuu promised to forge her a custom blade.

Their lively exchange continued until Gayle gently reminded Oga that his 11 a.m. appointment was approaching.

"Is Quo and Laura available?" Oga inquired.

"Only Laura," Gayle responded. "Lady Yvette has taken a liking to Quo."

Oga hesitated, sensing something was amiss. "What happened?"

"Laura," Gayle continued with a note of concern, "seems to have had a disagreement with Lady Yvette when Lord Nuu's name was mentioned."

"Is she hurt?" Oga inquired

"It didn't reach that far! Her bruised lips should be healed by now!" Gayle replied.

"Why would you send Laura to that woman, Oga? You know how temperamental she can be about me." Nuu interjected.

Zamira, having been part of the family for less than a month, was taken aback by the audacity of a servant speaking out of turn.

"That is quite unprofessional for a servant! What is the meaning of this?" Zamira demanded, looking sharply at Oga.

Yvette, despite her current captivity, held the esteemed rank of a Magus, a title that far surpassed that of a Duke. It was audacious for a mere servant to speak back to someone of her stature. How had her husband been training his staff?

Oga took a moment to contemplate the gravity of the situation. "I will handle it," he said, giving Zamira a reassuring look.

'Don't fire her! I won't interfere if you decide to demote her to a slave,' Nuu's voice echoed in his mind.

After a brief pause, Oga continued, "Add Laura to my meeting with Sage and Nylah. Also, have the Mertaur women who recently joined the House of Pleasure, entertain Brother Phi and his lads.

The others can enjoy their lunch until I call for them. Finally, authorize Zmos to commence work on our discussion. He has two days to complete it."

Gayle bowed and left, carrying a sealed box to execute the orders.

"I'll be taking Gayle on as my temporary assistant; there's much to be done, and she's quite quick-witted. I hope that's alright with you, dear," Oga said, casting a glance at his wife.

" You should have done that from the start. I've already told you, I don't need a helper," Zamira replied calmly.

"Nonsense. You must have a lady on hand. I'll find proper assistance soon," Oga insisted.

"Do as you see fit, but I hope you don't cross that line…." Zamira said with a smile, indulging her stubborn husband.

"What am I to do with your jealousy?" Oga sighed.

Nuu, who had been silently observing their banter, kept his thoughts to himself. 'Should I also get a helper for Berta and Priscilla?' he wondered.

Soon after, Oga carefully unveiled the massive heart of a dragon, encased in a crystallized cylinder. As expected, Zamira's eyes widened in awe, while Nuu looked on in confusion.

"Did you not plan to give this to Yaya?" Nuu asked.

"Hold on Yaya, where did you even get the heart of a dragon… and why am I just hearing about this now?" Zamira's displeasure was evident.

It took Oga a few minutes to explain the situation and bring her up to speed.

"I currently have two candidates in mind for this: Yaya and Berta," Oga said.

"Why are you involving my wife in this? Just give it to her! You were the one who slayed Hanes, so the lion's share belongs to you!" Nuu retorted.

"...."

"What's your opinion?" Oga turned to Zamira.

"Do you want my honesty?" Zamira asked, her eyes betraying a hint of greed.

"....."

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Zamira felt embarrassed.

"I believe it would be best to give this to Berta. As a Knight, with this heart, she could potentially break through to become a Grand Knight.

Yaya, on the other hand, is only a mortal. If given the heart, there's a 3% chance she would live; her body simply cannot contain the essence of a dragon.

I would suggest giving her the six droplets of Yimir's essence instead, combining it with a lower dosage of the variant Void White Eye Snake.

I cannot predict the exact outcome of this combination, but her chances of survival would be significantly higher," Zamira advised.

"Why not use the pure blood of the bastard Fabian?" Nuu inquired.

"If you were to combine two purebloods within a mortal, their body would explode. They simply can't handle that much power," Zamira explained. "But the decision is yours; these are your spoils." With that, Zamira turned her attention away from Nuu, focusing instead on her husband.

Oga pondered for a long time before finally making a decision.

"This is my gift to your wife; she has been through a lot. Don't turn it down!" Oga said.

Nuu stood there, hesitating for a moment, the weight of the decision heavy on his shoulders. Then, with a deep breath, he hugged Oga in gratitude and accepted the gift, carefully placing the heart and the nine essences in his Flesh Pouch.

"You two need to get a room!" Zamira joked, making them all laugh.

As they were about to leave, Oga said something to Nuu that surprised him.

"Why didn't I think of that?" Nuu exclaimed and a name came to mind, 'Menos!'

Zamira watched the brothers with interest. "I think it's time for me to go. This was quite an eventful meeting. Let's do this again sometime! And congratulations!" With that, she and Oga took their leave, leaving Nuu lost in thought.

The idea of Berta becoming a dragon had never occurred to him, but the prospect filled Nuu with genuine excitement. Rising from his seat, Nuu set off as well.

….

"But are you okay? If you need me to stay with you for the day, I can reschedule my appointments," Oga halted in his tracks.

"You worry too much. I'm in good spirits!" Zamira replied with a smile, taking his hand. "There's too much to be done, and you've already wasted three days. So, go to work!"

"Alright, just know I'm here if you need a shoulder!" Oga said

Zamira continued, holding Oga's hand as they strolled through the hallways. Servants went about their tasks, pausing to bow as they passed.

"I didn't expect you to seek my opinion, especially after winning the wager," Zamira said

"You are my wife, not a common whore." Oga replied. " How could a trivial bet change the way I regard you? What would be the point of our marriage if I treated you with contempt? Besides, I don't even recall the wager you mention."

Zamira chuckled, her face glowing with amusement. "Such a silver tongue you have... Do you mind if I join you for your meeting?"

"Maybe next time," Oga said with a smile. "For now, why don't you take a week-long trip to the Ordic Federation? I hear they have a grand festival at this time of year."

Zamira mulled over the idea.

"I'll have you take over Gregor's position when you return," Oga added.

"Really?" Zamira's excitement was palpable.

Having emerged from a reverie with Oga, while they lay in bed, Zamira had expressed her desire to manage The House of Breeder.

Although Oga had initially been resistant, he eventually yielded to his wife's heartfelt wishes after a deep and earnest conversation.

"You can continue your Orc experiments with those willing participants and make any other changes you see fit, Gregor will be there to assist. Just remember to prioritize my duties first!" Oga advised.

"You will always be number one, my love!" Zamira replied.

"Hmph, you only know how to sweet-talk me. Last night, when I requested another round—" Before Oga could continue, Zamira covered his mouth. "The servants are watching," she whispered. As she floated back down.

Oga wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry at her sudden shyness after the noisy past few days. 'This wife of mine,' he thought, amused.

"Fine. Before you set out, take the Void Snake and Orcs to their new home. We can't keep them in the basement!" Oga lifted Zamira, twirled her around, and sealed his words with a long, passionate kiss. Not forgetting to spank her ass while he was at it.

The servants looked on in envy.

"Take Berta along, it's time for both women of the house to bond!" Oga whispered.

Unbeknownst to Oga, his simple suggestion had sparked a friendship destined to endure through the ages. But that, as they say, is a story for another time.

Not long after the two departed….

"Did I keep you waiting?" Oga inquired, glancing at the guest kneeling at his office door, a face marked by scars.

"Not at all, Milord!" Gregor replied, standing as soon as Oga signaled him to rise.

"So, what do you think of your ludus?" Oga asked.

"It's more than this lowly servant could asked for!" Gregor replied a hint of humility in his voice.

"You're being too modest, come inside," Oga said. "I know it's a bit crowded at the moment, but once Phi completes my project, the breeders will have their residences."

"Milord, if I could…" Gregor hesitated.

"Go on, speak your mind!" Oga encouraged.

"The ludus is quite large, and I don't mind the company. Could they stay?" Gregor inquired.

Oga was taken aback by this unexpected suggestion.

"It's your compound, are you sure you desire to turn it into The House of Breeder" Oga said.

"I do not mind," Gregor reassured.

"Since you wish it, I will have Phi remodel the ludus to accommodate more people. How does that sound?"

"Many thanks, Milord!" Gregor responded quickly.

"Umm, have you prepared the report?" Oga asked.

Gregor meticulously prepared a detailed parchment, rich with information about all the breeders and their compatibility in working together.

Oga took a full ten minutes to carefully read through every detail. So far, there had been no infighting.

Even those who were initially reluctant had fully embraced their roles, now participating with enthusiasm.

"Felicity, in particular, had reportedly requested to take on four at once, sparking a competition among the ladies. As for Sage's cousins, Lih and Bür, these two women were in such a state of bliss that they had completely forgotten to seek their reward from Nuu.

Once Oga finished reviewing the report, which detailed the daily lives of these four women over the past weeks, Oga place the file away.

Then handed over a few Memory Crystals.

"During their next session, make sure to record; Have them playing the Enchanted Carousel," he instructed.

Gregor knew better than to question the order. 'His lordship truly is a smart business man.'

"This is a reward for Calen, Tessa, and Felicity: the Ancient Tear of Gertaul, a potion that will raise their Spiritual Force. And this Knight Elementary Meditation Technique is for Euryalus and the twins, Broly and Miles. As for Micah, he's permitted to request a favor," Oga said.
