It had been a month since Aru found himself trapped within the inner area of the Valley of Death. Unknowingly, a long time had passed since he promised to return home.
The early morning sun slowly brightened the temple and its surroundings. The warm light falling on his face woke Aru from his sleep.
"Aaah," he yawned, opening his eyes.
Taking a deep breath, he said, "I'm blessed with another morning, again."
His tone was slightly sarcastic. The fact that he was still stuck on the island after a month was beginning to demotivate him. Despite this, hoping for a better future, he picked himself up from his makeshift bed.
The bed, made from soft fibres of tree bark, contorted under Aru's weight as he stood up.
"It looks like today will be sunny," he noted, seeing the bright sunlight through the window.
