'A compensation!'

The guard blinked his eyes several times while holding the piece of paper in his palm. Of all the reactions that he had anticipated, he never expected that this young man would actually express his concern to the property that he had damaged!

'What an odd person!' No matter how he tried, the guard could not hide the stunned expression on his face. He took a deep breath and pursed his lips. Then, he slowly lowered his gaze and read the name written on the piece of paper.

"Lui Chen..." he muttered and looked at the man in the eyes. Somehow, the name was a bit familiar. Yet, he could not remember where he had heard of it before.

Just then, a tall and handsome man wearing a casual suit approached them. The security guard quickly bowed his head and gave the piece of paper to the newcomer.

Lui Chen then recognized that this man was probably the owner of the restaurant. He easily raised his hand to offer a friendly handshake, however, his hand paused in mid-air when he saw the features of your youthful skin, his thin long fingers, and clean cut nails.

He was reminded that he was still a teen. Such behavior of offering a handshake would definitely not be something that the original Lui Chen would do!

He discretely retracted his hand and clasped them behind his back. Then, he also offered a respectful bow to the man.

"What?" the man exclaimed and raised his eyebrow at the sight of Lui Chen bowing at him. He stood there looking very dignified.

'What does he mean?' Lui Chen mentally asked while maintaining his gaze on the ground. He looked like a meek teen in his position. Something that he thought was fitting in his new identity. 'Why would this man asked me such incomplete question?'

"Huh! Did you have amnesia after you crashed your car on that wall?" the man asked him again. This time it was in a sharp tone. Yet, there was a sense of familiarity in his voice that made Lui Chen looked up and stare at his face for a long time.

Seeing the confusion in Lui Chen's face, the man scowled at him and pat his shoulder. "Idiot! It's better to go to the clinic. What were you saying earlier, huh? Compensating me? Tsk! Go buy cement and patch that damage tomorrow!!! Idiot! Tch!"

Only when he heard the man calling him profanities did he realize who he was. Of course, the original Lui Chen was supposed to go to the Shing Restaurant too.

'What a coincidence! Thankfully, I was quick to realize and did not proceed to initiate a handshake with this man!'

The owner of the restaurant was in fact Lui Chen's genius classmate when he was still studying! This man may not be his close friend but they were seatmates for a while. For some reason, he could tell that this man was actually sincere.

'Ahh... so this is Shing Xin.' He finally identified the man. He also recalled that when the man heard about the news of the original Lui Chen being kicked out by his squad, he quickly invited him to have a talk in his restaurant!

'Perhaps, it is a mere coincidence that I choose to eat on the same restaurant!' Lui Chen sighed of the idea.

And he also recalled from the memory of the original Lui Chen that this man calling him an idiot was only because he had dropped out at school. After all, he was from a family that values academics!

Lui Chen scratched his head and was even more stupefied. He had never felt so loss in his past lives than at that moment!

Then his stomach suddenly growled which made him feel more awkward. 'I'm supposed to eat!'

"What are you still standing there? Let's go! I'll drive you to the clinic! My employees will handle your car," the man called him after realizing that Lui Chen never moved his feet.

"Ehem! S-Shing Xin, I'm hungry. Didn't you say that you will prepare a large meal for me? I only crashed in that wall because I almost fainted in hunger!" It was a smooth alibi, one that he had mastered over the past years. He could even be considered his soul as an alibi master.

On the other side, Shing Xin's expression turned cold and faced him. He crumpled the paper that he was holding and had a death glare on his face. "Look at you! You can't even feed yourself. Yet, you act arrogant and offered compensation! I just really don't know where and which gods gave you the guts to be so confident!"

The man had witnessed Lui Chen tearing the paper and offering compensation as if he was a complete stranger. Thinking of the scene made Shing Xin's emotions boil in anger.

Lui Chen forced a small smile on his lips. What can he do? He really did not recognize the Shing Restaurant at first. Perhaps, it was because the brain of his new body was mildly traumatized by his sudden soul invasion?

"Hehe... Never mind going to the clinic, I'm really hungry. I might collapse here again. Shing Xin, what food did you prepare? Is it really a big meal?"

Shing Xin nodded his head and gestured for him to follow his lead. They walked out of the accident scene as if nothing had happened.

Only the people were reluctant to leave the place. But soon after, they also started to disperse and resumed their dinner.

Several minutes passed and two police officers from the police department of district 3 visited the accident scene and interrogated the witnesses.

While Lui Chen sat on his table and was waiting for the waiter to serve his food, these two officers also went to spoke with Shing Xin.

"Mr. Shing, we encourage you to file a police report of this incident. Your property was destroyed. We can a further investigation and held the person responsible. Here is the form," one of the officers told Shing Xin and gave him a folder.

"Ahaha... Officers, I appreciate your concern. But, the person who destroyed the wall was actually a close brother of mine. He was hungry and almost collapsed. In fact, his family had disowned him. So, I hope you don't give him difficulty," Shing Xin politely replied.

The two officers nodded their heads in understanding. "If that's the case, we respect your decision, Mr. Shing. We will take our leave and take not of your request. However, the media these days are everywhere. So, there might be reports about this accident."

"Thank you for your warning, officers! I really appreciate your prompt service!" Shing Xin expressed and waved them goodbye.
