The Ultimate Lycan System

In this world everyone has a ‘second gender’, That woman has a Ram as her second gender, so her horns protrude from the sides of her head. A prey that would challenge another of her kind. Always hitting heads with another Ram, a form of a sheep and goat almost. Whereas this guy, strong, fit and tall. A man with a sense of dominance and pride, a lion no doubt. Probably cocky at points of time but a sensible and reliable guy to those he surrounds himself with. A fight to the death is what awaits someone to challenge a clear born predator king. Then there’s me, your average human. It’s a rare thing when a person doesn’t get allocated a ‘second gender’ their animal calling, the other part of their soul. But that rare out of one thousand is here standing in the streets, why? Because his bullies told him too and out of fear, I Sion Reed stood in the rain the whole night. *** Sion Reed, a normal, average, not often seen human with no ‘second gender’ is small and meek. He doesn’t talk and puts his head down as he struggles day to day life surrounded by animals of every kind. In a world that prioritised ‘Second gender’ he was seen as nothing to society. His dream of being a hunter crushed at a young age when the doctor shook his head saying ‘the boy simply would not develop one’. His father passed away and his Mother left him because she held disgust for her only child was a mere human. So he worked a part time job to keep a small apartment on the outskirts of town near his high school. Everyday he was bullied and ridiculed for not having his other counterpart, that is until he dies. Or so he thought he did. >> System Operational, welcome Host

How long had he been standing there? Who knows, he had been standing outside the famous restaurant Flo for 2 hours now. But he didn't preach or say anything, Sion looked around tensely. It was getting later by the hour, he'd rather be home right now and eating his leftover curry.

'If only I had a 'Second gender', maybe it wouldn't have come to this?' He thought as he shoved his hands in his pockets. He actually had plenty of time to go home and come back but fear for the time before he stood the twins up dwelled in the back of his mind. Sure he could have told authorities but who would care? It was survival of the fittest, only those fit to the task could handle it. A mere human asking for help wasn't something demi-humans cared about.

Sion thought back to when his mother had been around, she had taken him to the Gender clinic on her way back from work. Her fierce grip constricted any efforts to slow her pace as she practically dragged him.

"I want the boy to see the best Gender specialist you have" she said with such authority to the woman who was attending her. The woman behind the desk seemed to show respect as her instincts knew this woman was dangerous. She then showed them the way; the doctor who was attending them after a blood test shook his head. "The boy isn't to be thirteen till August, his blood count is normal and I've found nothing wrong with his health-" cutting the doctor off Sion's mother spoke "The results if you will." Her words made no room for excuses or arguments. Prolonging this appointment wasn't an option and the doctor knew this but it wasn't going to be easy to explain.

"I'm sorry Mrs Reed, your son doesn't have and just simply won't ever develop a 'Second gender'" the doctors words crushed both Sion and his Mother for different reasons. Sion wanted to become a hunter, his father had told him the glorious times when he was a porter (one who carries luggage and picks up materials during a raid, raid being when hunters kill off monsters). Sion's eyes became lifeless as his Mother swore and grip her son's left wrist harshly.

"Your telling me Doctor, that my son is some crippled human!" Mrs Reed's fangs protruded from her lips, her aura seethed through almost seeming to suffocate the doctor and her son.

"Mrs Reed please, I know this is hard on you both but he's lacking the DNA strand most would have developed at 10. This sometimes happens, it's a rare thing yes but it's not the child's fault" the doctors words were rushed as he tried to explain further. Yet even though she calmed down, disgust and bitter emotions were present.

"Disgusting, my only child and he's a filthy human."

Sion thought about his mother's last words to him as the rain poured down. What if he had a 'Second gender' back then, would things have played out differently? Would she have still played make pretend of a beautiful house wife and dotting Mother?

Looking at his run down phone that he pulled from his pocket it was 10:24pm, they had said 8pm and yet Dante and Dio never showed. Should he leave? But if he left and they came later wouldn't that mean he'd end up being bashed again? Shifting on his feet he looked up, rain was still pouring but he was safe under the side walk over cover.

If he had been a hunter, would he have been brave enough to venture forth into a fracture? After the first band of hero's, hunters and guilds were made. The six in total championships of the first ever fracture (split in the sky) raid success. He'd watched the video online relentlessly, the way the people held their breath, that one person shouting and pointing as they finally came out. It was a video that made his skin crawl with pleasant tingles.

Thinking about it now, in honour of the six hero's, six guilds were made. Which one would he have chosen?

He knew all there was about the guilds, he'd been obsessed with them even after he found out he could never develop his counterpart.

Would he of gone with,

RiverFalcon?

Their motto being 'Bravery can take on even a fast flowing river'

Or perhaps,

LightStallion?

Their motto being 'May the light protect you as your feet push through the darkness'.

Scrunching up his face a bit Sion thought a bit more.

DragonDynasty?

Motto: 'Fly high with the claws of gold and scales of steel'

Maybe even,

ElkWood?

Motto: 'You can stand tall as a tree and grow stronger everyday'

Aqua?

Motto being: 'The river one day meets the sea, you can become an ocean'

Or would he have gone with

LionPavilion?

Their motto being: 'A war cry is a message of a battle spirit, carry victory through it'

Now that he thought about it, 'maybe doing it solo- but then again-' Sion's thoughts are interrupted by images of the monsters he'd seen broadcasted on TV. His body shivered, to take on something like that, you needed power, something he never would have.
