38 Protect Ceng Rou

Ceng Rou arrived at Bar Street soon after. Upon arriving, she was immediately greeted by the sight of Xia Tian. This time, she had driven the car over by herself.

"Still doing fine?" Within the car, Ceng Rou looked at Xia Tian with a gentle visage.

"I know. The household is on a constant in a state of high alert recently, and those old geezers are each hatching a plot of their own. They plan on getting rid of me so that they can split the company shares among themselves. There's also a high likelihood that they've already planned out how they intend to split the shares," answered Ceng Rou with a glum expression.

"Then why are you staying there? You know they've already dispatched Quicksand, right? Once the people from Quicksand accept a task, they'll never rest." Xia Tian stared quizzically at Ceng Rou.
