Little Argument

[Previous chapter: Elena almost fell, and Luke saved her from disaster. Luke prepared dinner for them, and they ate together in the restaurant.

[An: the restaurant has the same meaning as dining room some novels called it restaurant]

Elena looked at the food on the table and asked: "Did you cook all of this? you didn't buy this food, right?" Elena asked doubtfully.

"You didn't believe me?" he said with sorrow. He turns his glance at Elena and made Elena felt like she was failing to behave.

"I never knew that you could cook, I never thought that President Luke has so many skills besides controlling people behind the scene," Elena asked jokingly.

"You still didn't believe me," he said dejectedly.

"I knew you don't like socializing so much, but I never knew you could cook too, but you forbid me to cook for you," I asked with anger in my voice.

"I just didn't want to see you get hurt," he said.

"I didn't care about the reason at all. Why did you forbid me? I am not a fragile doll," I glared at Luke.

"I am a man, and you are a woman. If I got hurt, it is normal because I am a man", he said again.

"Oh, now you want to differentiate our gender matters? Because I am a woman, you forbid me cooking for you? How come you came up with this logic? Everyone knows that cooking is one of the woman's skills.

It is not rare to see a woman cooking in the kitchen. I couldn't accept you said about our gender. So what if I am a woman that I can not be a CEO? So what if I am a woman so that I can not participate in boxing?.

This is modern era, man or woman has some degree, but now you hurt my pride as a woman, did anyone ever said you had wicked tongue?", I couldn't help raising my voice, pushed Luke's body against the wall, and cornered him without escaping.

"So you wanted to say because I am a girl that needs your protection? I am not that weak, don't underestimate a girl who looked weak, I trained in a martial art before, defeating you is a piece of cake for me", I said grumpily,

Luke never heard her this angry before.

"I am sorry, I didn't mean that okay Elena, I just didn't want you to get hurt, please understand my feelings a little okay," Luke kneel with one of his foot in front of Elena like a prince.

"You are just too precious for me, please don't get angry, I can't bear these tight feelings around my chest," he added.

I looked at Luke plead for forgiveness. I couldn't help to punish him any longer, who made me love him anyway. Love truly can make people blind. I didn't discuss this matter anymore, and we began to eat our dinner.

Luke's craftsmanship is delicious. It is not different from a famous restaurant.

"It is okay for you to cook dinner, but how about we take a turn in cooking. So I won't cook every day, is that okay with you?" I was still angry at his possessive attitude, but I asked for his opinion.

"It is okay then. I will cook on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday," He suggested.

"It is not fair at all, I get three days, and you get four days," I said sulking.

"Because-"

"Don't say because you are a man. Do you want to make me angry again? I won't speak to you anymore," I said with anger.

Luke only looked at me sadly.

"I have a suggestion. We will cook together on Sunday. How about it, it won't be dangerous, right?" Elena suggested, she knew how protective his husband was and made him compromise with this solution.

"It is okay then. I won't let you hurt yourself," Luke said with a bright smile. I smile at him too.

We are satisfied with this arrangement and ate quietly after that. I wasn't happy about how Luke protected me too strictly.

Because she is not fragile, but she couldn't help feeling sweet and warmth in his heart. She was happy at this moment to feel there was someone who protected her.
