Courtney is an ordinary salary-woman who suddenly finds herself in a book she’s recently read as a character destined to die, Princess Kara. KARA'S POV

When the Prince was brought back to the room though I was anxious to get right to asking him the questions I had, unfortunately there were procedures we had to follow first. I was also concerned for the prince, since he looked much worse than the last time. I was worried he would be overwhelmed when it came to speaking.

"Before we continue our discussion, there are a few things we have to first take care of," I told the prince.

The dukes and I did the usual routine and the prince observed us as he sat down ate in the meantime. He watched us in surprise.

"You have to do this every day?" he asked, clearly shocked by the routine.

"Not necessarily every day in this room, but I must "spend time" with at least one of them every day," I explained to him.

"What an insane routine," he commented.

"You have no idea," I told him.
