KARA'S POV

"So I've been thinking about it all week trying to figure out why it is Viktor will be headed to the holy temple." Griffith continued. "I think he wants the High Priest. Unlike the Manar kingdom with no significant religious beliefs, the Akron religion, 'Aket', is very important to the people, and the high priest is highly revered. Aside from the royal family the high priest himself is also viewed as an important powerful figure in the kingdom. That's probably why Viktor wants him. He wants no loose ends."

"That makes sense," I said out loud. The Akron religion was called 'Aket'. So like in my world the high priest to the Akron people was like the 'Dama Ilama' or the 'Pope'. We all know Viktor hates competition to his power so of course a figure like the high priest has to go.

"Why wasn't he initially taken when Akron was defeated a month ago?" Isaac asked.
