CHAPTER Seventy-Seven

Graduation was in less than two weeks, and I couldn’t believe it! Things have been crazy since prom. First, the four of us flew to New York to view apartments, and now we were down to two choices. We had to decide and soon. Second, I finally heard back about the charges against “my dad”; there was a protective order against him, indefinitely. Not only that, he was on probation for the next year, but if he messes up once, his ass is getting sent to jail! I was happy with that. I can move on from that part of my life. And last, we picked our subjects and paid our college fees, so it was official. We got some help with costs from financial aid, and that helped. New York University was expensive! It would be worth it. Yeah, so the last few weeks have been non-stop , but everything was falling into place.
I was still trying to get my head around how quickly this year has passed.
