CHAPTER Seventy- Nine

  Gracie

I was freaking out. So much so I swear I was going to have a panic attack. The thought of being out there in front of everyone to get my diploma was enough to make me feel sick. I just need to keep telling myself it would only be for a minute. I was currently in the girl’s bathroom, on the floor with my head over the toilet. Luckily, I hadn’t put my cap and gown on yet. But, I needed to get a grip of myself. The last thing I wanted was to end up being sick on stage, that would be embarrassing, and I would never live it down.

“Gracie, sweetie, are you OK” I heard Melissa ask from outside the stall door.

“Yes, I am just very nervous,” I said as I got to my feet and opened the door.

“You will be fine, and we will all be right there, watching,” she smiled, “You got this! Now, get your lippy on, fix your hair and go join Ryland and your friends to get ready to graduate,”

  “Yes, ma’am,” I laughed.

“Enough of the ma’am, I am not that old,” she chuckled.
