Something is Wrong...

Something is wrong. That's the first thought that runs through my head when i wake up. Where am I? Who am I? I sit up and look straight ahead. I am presented with a white drab room that reeks of medicine. Turning my head right I see a door and a bedside nightstand. I would say the most interesting thing in this room is the tv in front of me, but looking to the right I am greeted with a large rectangular window overlooking a small courtyard with a few benched tables and thick leafed trees. What finally pushes the last of my grogginess from my brain is the reflection in the window. A fair skinned boy with gray eyes and silver hair stares back at me. Again I get the nagging feeling I'm forgetting something. Forgetting... I look down at my hands and realize for the first time I had woken up, I could not remember. Trying to recall a sliver of information, my mind is left blank. That's when it hits me. A wave of understanding passes over me as I tell myself what an idiot I was. I can't remember anything, I have amnesia. After the grand epiphany I just had, I'm not nearly as concerned as i should be. I should be panicking, worried sick about how empty my mind is... but there is nothing. A small part of me believes I was expecting this. Im not sure how. Just a feeling. After sitting in my own silence for a few minutes, I decide to put the tv to good use and locate the remote on the nightstand. Just as I turn the tv on and flip to the news channel the room's door opens and a kindly looking, red haired woman steps in holding a clipboard. "Ah. I see we have figured out how to use the tv already" she chuckles. I just kinda stare at her aimlessly. Thankfully I don't have to continue the conversation as another person steps into the room. A male, brown hair, older, wearing a white coat with a couple pens inside a breast pocket. I notice an awfully large amount of details. I wonder why. "Good morning Mr. Morrigan" he greets in a polite voice. He doesn't wait for an answer and continues talking somewhat fast paced. "We were worried you'd be asleep for a couple more days before..." — "My name" I cut him off. My voice is horribly quiet and raspy. "Excuse me?" He asks. "I want my full name" I repeat, this time louder and clearer. His look of surprise is brief, present but brief. "Finnley Morrigan, though you prefer the nickname Finn" he responds curtly. His voice hits a gentler tone and his face softens "Do you... remember anything Mr. Morrigan?" He questions. I shake my head, and he draws a concerned face. The nurse whom i forgot was in the room promptly scribbles something on her clipboard, probably a note for my medical record. 'Like my folder can hold anymore records' I joke to myself. How... do I know that? The doctor promptly excuses himself saying "That changes a few things". I watch him pace out of the room, leaving only me and the nurse left.

I am not a skilled author. Im not sure if this is novel format. And to top it all off, I don’t know what genre this should be. This novel was made on a whim and it’s already a hot mess.
