Rhett’s POV
“Bring her back!” I seethed at the woman in front of me. But there was a playful smirk on her face, her face that resembled Eleonore’s so much—except for those dark eyes.
We had managed to get inside the hut, and walked down the impossibly long hallway to an open room. There was nothing inside of it but an empty crate in the middle of the room. Hayden, who was standing on my right, seemed to grow frustrated with the silent woman and growled as he grabbed at her.
“You seem intent on making us very angry, you don’t want to know what will happen to you once we get very angry.” Hayden threatened the woman, but she only raised her eyebrows up in challenge as she smiled.
I sighed as I took a step back. This was useless, we wouldn’t hurt Eleonore’s body and the woman knew it, we had no idea what that would mean for the real Eleonore or even how this magic worked—she and Bastian knew that.
