Hayden’s POV
After the Bastian situation, Rhett and the betas took off with him somewhere.
“You’re not coming?” Mason had asked me, but I shook my head in response. Hayden gave me a look but didn’t say anything else while he and Logan walked towards the car with Bastian.
“Stay with them.” I gave the order to Mason.
“I’ll go with you.” He said, but I shook my head again.
“I’m fine. Stay with Rhett. Help him with figuring this thing out.”
“Where are you going?”
“Logan,” I called out to my brother’s beta before he could leave.” “Can I borrow your phone?”

I walked into the library where Eleonore worked. Amanda had told me that she had resumed working here after returning from her stay with us, so remembering her schedule, I knew she’d be here at this time.
I saw her co-worker at the front desk and walked up to him. He groaned when he saw me, and I raised a brow at him in question. “Which one are you?”
I laughed. “The better-looking one.”
