A True Demon

Felice stood under the shower head, warm water rolling down her body. They had just gotten back to the dorm not long ago without further incident. Whomever the guys were, they were long gone now.

The memory was still fresh in her mind, and one she was familiar with by now. Some big shot hired an assassin to take her life and claim her family inheritance. It happened more often than she'd like to admit, even to herself.

But this time was different. He was there to save her. Her demon prince in black armor. Definitely not what she had imagined as a little girl, she smirked. But still, she was thankful to him, very thankful, and happy to have him around.

Even now she could picture him sitting in bed with his back against the headboard reading one the many mangas he brought along with him. She smile and sighed, never in her wildest dreams did she think she'd find someone of interest at this school, and definitely not one as attractive as him. Her hands moved slowly down her tummy as she thought about the man in the bed across from hers. Her Demon Prince.

He had waited to her enter the shower before standing up silently. He opened the window as quietly as possible and removed the screen. He just needed to be back before she was done with her shower so as not to worry her. Taking a deep breath he stepped forward and vanished.

Xizreth appeared outside the dorm building under a security camera and scanned the area. He could feel the energy impression southwest, maybe ten kilometers. He Shadowstepped again and again, and was eventually sure he would suffer for the excessive use of power for a few days to come. But that didn't matter, he wouldn't let them hurt her.

He wasn't far now, he could sense them both, very close by. And third unknown energy source, though with far less killing intent. Two more Shadowsteps and he was outside an old, unmarked warehouse. The people he was looking for were definitely inside. It was time to transform and be done with these guys.

The tattoos along Xizreth's body transformed for black to a living, pulsing crimson, the black seeming to melt off of the tattoos and soak into the rest of his skin. His teeth sharpened, nails elongated into points, muscles doubled in size, and eyes began to glow with a deep crimson light. He was going to kill them, and there was nothing they could about it. He took a step forward and vanished.

"I told you, he stepped forward and disappeared, the reappeared behind Grim and snapped his neck. We weren't sticking around to get killed along with," Basilisk pleaded.

"He protected that girl like he owed her his life," mumbled Envy.

"Well boys, there is nothing that can be done about it now. You still have one day left to collect the girl before your heads are on the line," said a third man.

A loud crash was heard in the rafters above them drawing their heads upward. The last thing they saw before dying was a bonafide demon, claws extended and teeth bared, falling towards their faces.

A short time later Felice stepped out of her bathroom with a towel wrapped around her frame and another packed neatly around her hair. Xizreth couldn't help but sneak a glance at her, savoring her curves for but a moment, before turning his attention back to the light novel in his hands.

"How was your shower," he asked as if just now noticing her presence in the room, eyes still fully into his manga.

Felice smiled sweetly and removed the towel from her, letting her long reddish blonde hair spill out behind her back.

"It was amazing," she smiled sheepishly, assuming he had heard her moans. I mean how could he have missed it, she thought to herself.

He couldn't help but look up as her hair flowed down to the small of her back in rivets of red and gold. She was truly stunning.

Noticing his attention Felice blushed deeply. Even though those feelings were thoroughly reciprocated, it still gave her butterflies when he looked her longingly like that.

"I know this may sound forward, but can I sleep next to you tonight Xizreth? I'm still a little shaken from early," she asked in a small voice.

She really did still feel uneasy about the events from early, but moreso she wanted to feel that warmth of his body next to hers.

"Yeah, I don't mind," he said in a deep voice as he set his light novel down and smiled at her softly.

He lifted an eyebrow slightly as he saw her walk over to him in her towel. He lifted the covers and offered her a spot next to him. She dropped the towel to the floor allowing Xizreth a good look at her body, and could tell he enjoyed everything he saw. But she didn't want to sleep with, not tonight, just sleep next to him.

Felice cuddled close to Xizreth, her hand resting on his hard chest and fell into a deep sleep. Xizreth looked at her with a bit of bewilderment, and chuckled softly.

"You're adorable when you're sleeping," he mumbled and closed his eyes.
