I walked downstairs then walked toward the entrance, seeing two women standing outside with Leona. I looked back at April then walked outside. April followed close behind and held my arm.

"My Knight..~ Meet Taurus and her Knight, Heifer." Leona said.

Heifer was an extremely beautiful woman with long black hair reaching to her legs. She wore a tribal necklace around her neck and had inhibitor bracelets on her wrists and ankles. For someone as beautiful as she was, she had a terrifying presence around her.

Taurus was just as beautiful as Leona was sporting long dark blonde hair reaching to the ground. Her emerald green eyes shined as she stared at me and April. On the sides of her head were horns, made from plants. Her divine presence was known because of the array of fairies flying around.

"So this is the guy you bonded with? You don't know his background? How can you be sure he can be trusted?" Taurus asked.

Leona crossed her arms then looked at me. "He's heroic by nature. He takes initiative like me. He has the spirit of a hero. I know who I chose."

Heifer looked at me then walked toward me. She stared into my eyes then noticed a strong sense of pride within me. "You've got something to prove don't you?"

"I have a lot to prove. You think just because you're a Zodiac Knight that I'm supposed to be scared?" I asked.

Heifer smirked then stepped backwards. "You haven't heard the news? My team goes against yours. I'm sorry to tell you, but you aren't winning. Your team lacks actual experience despite the hype that's going on."

April looked at me then noticed I was just smiling. She gently rubbed my arm. "August.."

"It's alright. I'm just glad to have a strong obstacle to overcome. Is this the only reason you're visiting, Goddess?" I asked and looked at Taurus.

Taurus looked at me then giggled softly. "Where are your manners, Human? Have you forgotten who you are in the presence of?"

"I didn't forget, but if this is your tactic of intimidation...I feel sorry for you. I don't get scared too often. I may get caught off guard, but that's about it." I said.

Taurus smirked and looked at Leona. "He's got your bitchy attitude.."

"Oh go ingrain your tears elsewhere, you confused specimen. You don't know if you want to be a plant Goddess or a Beast Goddess. If you can't handle this sass, don't come over here with some lip." Leona said.

"I can't wait to see the look in your eyes when he loses. You already know how Zodiac Battles go right? Loser gives up their Zodiac Crystal..~" Taurus said.

"What?" I asked.

"She means if you lose, you'll belong to her and there's nothing I can do about it." Leona said.

Taurus smirked at me. "Feeling nervous now aren't you..?~ You better prepare for it all!~ I can't wait to have you on the team~"

We watched Taurus and Heifer warp away then Leona smirked and sighed. I looked at Leona then looked at April.

"Upgrade your skills. We've got a Mock Battle to win." Leona said.

I nodded and took out my Z-System then upgraded Burning Assault and Leo Flame Burst. April watched me curiously and tilted her eyes.

[Leo Flame Burst (+1): Chance to split into two and increase power by 25%, can create two fireballs at a time, combined with Lion's Fist/Burning Assault makes Leo Burst Strike/Leo Assault Burst!]

"Now get some rest, you'll need it..~" Leona said.

"Got it." I nodded.

"C'mon! We're gonna be late!" April called out to me as she rushed downstairs.

I grabbed my jacket then rushed downstairs as well. We ran out of my house then ran down the sidewalk to our academy. I noticed there was traffic and we didn't have enough time to wait for the cars to pass.

"April, give me your hand!" I said.

April grabbed my hand then I pulled her to me, carrying her bridal style. I leaped over the cars then ran forward. I noticed a ball roll out onto the street then heard a woman scream. I set April down then surrounded myself in flames then used a burst of speed to dash toward the child, saving him from getting ran over.

The woman looked at me then noticed the Leo Symbol shining on my shoulder. "A Zodiac..? What's your name?"

I handed the woman her son then smiled at her. "The name's August."

The woman watched me run off with April and smiled happily holding her son.

"You're so quick on your feet now!" April said and smiled.

"It comes with being a Leo. All of my senses are hundreds of times better than what they used to be." I said and smiled.

April and I soon made it to the academy and ran toward the Mock Battle Arena. Some of the students moved out of the way seeing we were in a rush.

"Seems like August and April aren't present today...Team August, would you like to forfeit?" Ms. Ray asked.

"No." I said as I made it and panted.

April jogged behind then smirked, wiping her forehead. "We're here! Fashionably late~"

Nina sighed in relief and smiled. "Thank the Heavens they actually showed up..~"

"The Ruler of Heaven is always listening~" Lily said then lowered her hands.

April walked forward then smirked. "Heifer! You came to our house yesterday looking for a fight! Before you can challenge the leader of The Pride, you fight his top Lioness first!"

Heifer looked at April then her cloak flowed gently in the wind. She closed her eyes and dismissed April, not seeing her as a challenge. "Georgia, go handle the crying lioness. I hate hearing her voice right now.."

Georgia smiled and skipped forward toward April. "Heya, April~ There's no hard feelings about this, but we aren't gonna let you all win after what your boyfriend said yesterday~"

"And I stand by what he said. I get you all didn't like it, but he speaks truth! We are fighting to make a change at this academy!" April said.

Georgia looked at April then smirked. "Of course you stand by what he says. The fools will always believe other fools. Those in the lower tiers will never survive out there. Low tiers are no better than the humans who aren't even ranked. The only ones who can make change are us high tier heroes!"

April scoffed. "I knew you were always a fake bitch."

Georgia looked offended then glared at April. "Teach, start the battle already! I wanna kill this whore!"

"You may begin!" Ms. Ray called out.

Georgia dashed toward April and went for an attack, but April dodged her attack then evaded her second punch. April yelled and struck Georgia with her knee then surrounded her fist in fiery energy then clobbered Georgia with a left hook. Georgia stumbled back then shook her head, dazed by April's strength when she was angry.

'She's slowly growing stronger by the second. One point per second...three extra if she lands a successful strike. She's dangerous...' Georgia thought to herself.

April shook her hand then a symbol disappeared. Leona picked up on it and rose an eyebrow. April balled her hand into a fist then got into her stance.

'A Crest..? But how can a Human from Earth wield a Crest...especially the Crest of War. Now I can see why Rama wants to choose April...' Leona thought to herself.

April walked forward then dashed toward Georgia. Georgia launched multiple roots toward April, but April used her flames to burn her roots to the ground. Georgia bellowed then launched a floral beam at April. April jumped over the beam then surrounded her arm in fiery energy.

"You're finished! Ardent Hammer!" April bellowed then chopped Georgia's neck landing a critical hit on her.

They crashed to the ground then April jumped out of the smoke cloud and coughed. She chuckled and dusted herself off. The smoke cleared, revealing Georgia knocked out on the ground.

"Battle over! April wins! One point to Team August!" Ms. Ray called out.

"Yay! Go April!" Lily cheered.

I smirked and crossed my arms. "I have nothing else to worry about it seems..~"

April skipped back over toward us and gave Nina and Lily high fives then hugged my arrm. "Undefeatable~"

I chuckled softly then looked over at Heifer. She stared at me as I was the only one she wanted to fight. I was also curious about her power as a Taurus. Our Zodiac Energies began to clash and everyone noticed the intensity of the arena.

Taurus grabbed Heifer's shoulder. "It's too early to strike. Hold yourself."

Leona gently clawed my back. "Rest, my Knight..~ Your time will soon come..~"

Heifer and I calmed down then I sat down, closing my eyes. I watched Nina walk forward and smiled at her. Nina looked back at me then gave me a thumbs up. I nodded at her and watched closely as we entered our second battle.
