Claire had a disbelieving look, Laura froze. Eris eyes dimmed likewise. Although he had said these things, he could not take away the guilt in his heart. 

"W-what did you say? Whose son did you just say you are?" Laura asked in a small shaking voice. She looked at Eris with uncertainty. She clearly could not believe what she had heard. 

"My name is Eris Romano Rockefeller" Eris simply responded. He did not dare raise his head to look at Laura who was staring intent at him. Her eyes bored holes into his head.

"How could that be!" Claire gasped. She looked at Eris, her eyes filled with disbelief. Her question was right, how could it be? How could her best friend date her own step brother without even realising it!
