27 His fiancée

After he went to finish off his work, Octavia helped the queen water the flowers in the garden, they were rose, orchids and a lot more beautiful flowers , while she was doing that, the girl was uneasy for she wondered what the prince could possibly want from her.

"You seen distracted are you okay?" the queen asked,

"Oh yeah i am fine" she responded,

"You know i can tell that you are lying" the queen said,

"I am sorry it is just that there are a lot of things on my mind" she replied.

"Is it about the prince? " Caria asked,

"Nope" she responded as she downed her head.

"Lie, come on tell me, I think I will be able to help" the queen said,

" Hmm okay, the prince is a hard person you know that bit do you think that he can truly fall in love? " she asked,

"You guys are dating but it is natural that a partner would want to know, so yeah I think he can, he has his times when he is happy but they hardly come, he is loving towards his family but due to his personality some people consider him a player" she responded.

"Oh i see, well thank you" she said,

"Hmm sit down and have a talk with him about how you feel" the queen replied,

"I will do that after the party" she said,

"Okay, oh Octavia you might want to hang on to him really tight the party night" Caria replied,

"Why?" she asked,

"Because the girl that likes him and whom he does not like a bit is going to be here" she responded.

"Ah.. that is just great another problem" she said to herself as she packed a few flowers in her basket.

After they finished, the queen and the girl went back into the castle to get some refreshments, Octavia had a cold cup of milk and a cinnamon roll. She then got a few Croissant and carried it for the prince with a bottle of juice.

He was busy doing paper work in the office, so after seeing that she bought snacks for him, the guy was a little surprised because he never asked for it.

"I brought these for you sire" she said placing the tray on the table,

"I did not ask for anything Octavia" he replied,

"Uh... i know but i thought you might want something to eat" she said.

He got up from the chair walking towards her, the girl heart started to thumb as fast as it could due to nervousness,

"Damn i am a wolf and yet i am afraid around him" she said to herself,

He held her by the shoulder and turned her towards him, "since you are doing this, i must ask, do you accept my proposal?" he asked,

With a heavy heart she looked up at him, exhaled "yes sire" she replied,

He smiled as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a diamond ring, the girl was amazed that he already knew what her answer would have been.

"Give me your hand" he said,

The girl stared at him as if she was lost in space, so he reached forward, held her hand and pushed the ring in her finger,

"Thanks for the snack, you are officially my fiancée" he said,

"You are welcome" she replied as she left the office and went to her room.

The girl sat down on the bed, held on to the ring and started to cry, her life was not only changing but so was her abilities, a few minutes later she smelled something burning and she saw it was the curtain.

She got so nervous that she looked at herself in the mirror only to see her eyes glowing red. She now realized that she caused the curtain yo go up in flames.

Octavia closed her eyes and drank a cup of cold water, she then sat down and the flame went out, in order for the prince to not notice anything, she changed all of the curtains into red and gold ones.

A few hours later, it was night, everyone sat down to eat dinner except Octavia so Cassius went up to the room only to see her fast asleep on his bed. The place was cold so he took a blanket and covered her. He then went back down to eat dinner with the others.

"Where is Octavia?" his sister asked

"She is sleeping, where were you all they sis?" he responded,

"Oh i had some business to take care of" she said,

"Okay, uh... at the party i have an announcement to make" he replied,

"Great i will make a special time in between for your news" the king said.

When he finished eating, he took a glass of juice and headed to his room, by the time he arrived Octavia woke up.

"Good night dear" he said with a smirk,

"Huh.. good night sire" she replied as she got up and took a glass of water,

"I will be announcing our engagement at the party" he said,

Upon hearing that she spewed the water out "oh so everyone will believe , just great" she replied.

The guy laughed as he walked towards her, he placed his hands on her shoulder "sweetheart if i were you i will be preparing for what will happen after i make the announcement, you will not only be recognized where ever you go, people will also start calling you the future bride of a ruthless prince" he said,

"Why are you doing this?" she asked,

"You will find out soon, i was going to show you tonight, remember i said earlier, even if you do not give me what i asked for i will take it forcefully" he responded.

"Hmm... okay sire i just want you to know that what ever happens after this, it will be your fault" she said,

He grabbed on to her neck " smile a little ,for you now have to do your duties as my fiancee" he replied as he pushed her on the bed.
