1 Prologue

New Characters in this chapter:

Yu Hua: Reincarnation of the Demon Princess Ruo Yin. She is currently the Princess of the Sky Clan. Because of an incident, she has forgotten her past life.

Lan Lan: Best friend and partner-in-crime of Yu Hua. Currently the Flower Deity of the Flower Clan.

Yue Feng: Yu Hua's older brother and the Crown Prince of the Sky Clan. He totally adores his little sister.

Zhi Ge: Fifth princess of the Southern Sea Lord (which is part of the Water Clan). She is the Princess Consort of Yue Feng. She always tries to make him pay attention to her.

Sky Emperor Quan Liang: Current Sky Emperor of the Sky Clan after his father died in the war five hundred thousand years ago. He is colder than his father. Father of Yu Hua and Yue Feng.

"Hua Hua, don't run so fast! I can't catch you!" Lan Lan said as she tried to be at the same pace as Yu Hua.

Lan Lan is the newly appointed Flower Deity. She and Yu Hua have been best friends since little. Yu Hua is the little princess from the Sky Clan, but she always escaped the Sky Clan to go to the Flower Clan to play every day and that is how the two of them met. Her favorite thing in the Flower Clan is the thousands of cherry blossom trees that are always in full bloom.

With a swift movement, Yu Hua stopped and turned around to yell, "Xiao Lan, the river is just up ahead! Run faster!" She smiled as she turned back and started running again. Her black silky hair was adorned with cherry blossoms petals that were flying everywhere.

Yu Hua is known as the most beautiful immortal in the Immortal Realm. Ironically, she is also known to be a disaster casting spells. She is so bad that once when she was trying to rescue a nine-tail fox that was trapped up in a tree with a spell, she ended transforming the fox into a cat. After that, she was prohibited to use her magic without supervision.

"I... I really can't run any faster!" Lan Lan shouted trying to catch her breath.

When they were young, Yu Hua's elder brother, Yue Feng, usually went together to the Flower Clan to play; but now Yue Feng is the Crown Prince of the Sky Clan. With all the royal duties waiting for him, he could not come out to play anymore.

Lan Lan was saved from this since the only duty of the Flower Deity was to maintain the balance of the seasons in the Mortal Realm. Therefore, Lan Lan still has time to play with Yu Hua.

Today they were going to the Thousand Tears River.

The Thousand Tears River is one of the marvels from the Flower Clan. There is even a myth surrounding this river. According to the myth, the Thousand Tears River was made by a water immortal a long time ago when her lover died.

She wept so much, that her tears formed a river; and she later committed suicide there which in consequence made her spirit one with the river. Since then, the river supposedly had the power of showing you the scenes of the person you love the most.

"Zhi Ge really didn't recommend wrong. It's really nice scenery"  Yu Hua thought as she shouted to Lan Lan. "Wah! The river is really beautiful!"

Zhi Ge is Yue Feng's future Princess Consort. She is the fifth princess of the Southern Sea Lord. Yue Feng does not particularly like Zhi Ge but he has no choice. Zhi Ge was chosen for him by the Sky Emperor, Quan Liang, himself.

Yu Hua even in this situation still took advantage and strike a deal with the Sky Emperor. If he was to marry Zhi Ge, then Yu Hua will be free to choose who she was going to marry. Yue Feng loves too much his sister and did not want her to suffer from the same fate as him.

Of course, Yu Hua didn't know that her brother accepted to marry Zhi Ge because of her. She also did not seem to notice that every time Zhi Ge saw her, there is raging hate in her eyes.

Lan Lan could not understand why Zhi Ge would be so kind to recommend the Thousand Tears River to Yu Hua. "It may have been a good act in the spur of the moment," she thought, but there was an ominous feeling that Lan Lan could not shake it off.

Lan Lan finally reached the Thousand Tears River. As she got closer, she noticed that something was not right, Yu Hua had stopped all her chattering and exciting screaming. As Lan Lan got closer, she could see that Yu Hua even looked serious.

"Hua Hua, are you okay?"

Yu Hua remained silent. She just continued to watch the river.

"Hua Hua, don't scare me!" Lan Lan cried.

Yu Hua then asked in a low voice, "Lan Lan, why should love be fated?"
