"Are you alright?" Adrian asked him when the silence continued for longer.
"I'm fine. Things are going quite well. I can't help but feel a bit apprehensive," Marcel said as he resumed dealing with the chicken.
"Why?" Adrian asked, not expecting him to say this.
"I'll tell you in the future," Marcel said, keeping his face lowered, completely focused on his current task. He remembered the visitors who came to ask for him at the company and wondered if anyone was going to pull him down before he even gets the opportunity to properly stand on his feet.
Adrian did not probe him for more information, as he knew it was not the time and place to have this discussion. He just felt bad for not being able to do anything. Especially when something so big had happened and Marcel wasn't particularly happy about it because of all the other things he was worried about.
