Chapter 3- Strange attractions

Continuation from chapter 2

I stared out the window, at the trees surrounding and watched as the leaves danced in the wind, wishing I could be out there and dance freely with them.

I was so engrossed in my day dreaming that I didn’t realise the teacher was here until she started speaking. “Hello students, I’m Ms Winters and I’ll be your English teacher this year. I know we’ll all have a great year together and to start it off, I would like to know a little bit about all of you.”

Her sweet voice so beautiful that for a moment I thought she should be a singer not a teacher, but i was grateful to have a nice teacher for my favourite subject, It just made me love the subject even more.

She went around the class asking every person about their name and something they liked until she came to me. I opened my mouth to talk but before I could get a word out, the door was swung open by someone.

All heads snap to the boy standing at the door, including mine. Before I know it I was looking into the most beautiful forest green eyes. They were staring at me with so much intensity, It would anyone cower away from them.

I haven’t realized he had started moving until he was right In front of me. I finally tore my eyes away from him and came back to the world.

The realization that we were still in the classroom with all eyes on us dawned on me as I blushed and lowered my gaze suddenly finding the table very interesting. I felt him sit beside and heard the teacher talking to me. I quickly said my name and that I liked reading.

For the rest of the class I couldn’t focus on anything Because I kept thinking about him and his gorgeous eyes, I also felt his stare on me the whole time, but didn’t dare look back at him, for fear of the consequences.

When the bell rang I rushed out of there like my life depended on it and in a way it did. I heard a voice call behind me. “Wait! Iris!” I knew it was Mr Green eyes and I wanted to stop, go to him and hug him even kiss him but I didn’t.

I kept running until I found my next class. He wasn’t in any more of my classes until finally, it was Lunchtime. I saw Braden walk in the cafeteria with his new friends as I made my way to a tree.

When I got closer I realised it was the same tree I had been watching from the window in English. I smiled as I sat in front of the tree and took out a book from my bag.

I was engrossed in my book that I didn’t notice the figure walking towards me. It wasn’t until he was right in front of me did I take my eyes off the words. Mr Green eyes stood in front of me with his hands in his pockets and a nerveous smile on his face. ” Is this seat taken, or can I sit here?” Let’s see now if I say yes, then I can make my first friend, but I can be risking my parents finding out and taking me out of school altogether. If I say no, then I won’t have to worry about breaking the rules but that would show that I’m ok with them controlling my life.

Before I think about it longer, I felt my head nod. He relaxed as he sat in front of me and started speaking. “I’m Adrian and since I’ve never seen you here before, that means your new and I would like to offer my services to show you around our school.”

I wanted to go away. I wanted my legs to lift me up and carry me away, but they wouldn’t instead I felt my head nod again and mouth open. “I’m Iris and You’re right I am new here and I love it if you could show me around.”

He smiled brightly and honestly, it’s the beautiful and gorgeous and handsome thing I’ve ever seen. It’s like I don’t have control over my body anymore. My legs lift themselves and walk inside the school with him.

He showed me around the entire school and after a while I stopped worrying about Braden and my Parents.

It was like everything would be perfect with him. I would love to be friends with him not that this strange attraction would let otherwise.
