'I am still alive! What just happened?!'

Cane hurriedly checked the monitor in front of him, and his eyes widened to see that three lights were shining on his body.

It looked like the colors silver, white, and purple clashed inside of him. The curious thing was that the purple color was bigger than the other two. As the two smaller lights were suppressed, his body's dangerous state was reversed. The unknown purple light shone on his body so intensely that he quickly recovered from a near state of death.

Before he got to rejoice, he noticed the new problem was that the purple light did not stop, and that made him jolt in pain. The intense purple light appeared like a flame that scorched his entire being. The searing pain made him wish that he was better off dead. It was simply the most painful occurrence in his entire two lives.

He let out horrible screams of pain. He was not really a religious person, but he called out to all the saints and gods that he knew of to ease his suffering. The pain was just agonizing. He was losing his mind.

'Child, I am sorry. Your body is not suitable for my divinity. If only Wrath did not covet my avatar.', a holy-sounding voice rang inside Cane's mind.

'Is it a God? Or is it my subconscious consoling myself?', his thoughts drifted as they started to fade.

Just before his body turned to ashes, the other two lights surprisingly combined, and it looked like a silver sun with white rays.

The new light was able to neutralize the purple one. As a result, a balance was achieved inside his body, and he fell unconscious afterward.

After several hours, Cane slowly opened his eyes and got a splitting headache right away. When he felt better, he hurriedly asked Liz what happened.

Liz showed a video of his body starting from the deterioration and aging until the reversal and vanishing of the unknown lights.

Cane's mind was in disarray, but he was thankful that he survived. He remembered that he had heard an unknown voice while being tortured in pain. He asked Liz if she heard it, but it appeared that only he did. He did not think too much about all the unknown things he witnessed, as he believed that the first thing he had to do was get better before getting those answers.

Too much happened within just hours of his reincarnation. He felt like his mindset had changed, especially after experiencing that life-reaching pain. Upon realizing that reincarnation truly happened, the idea of karma became the truth to him. He silently promised himself that he would always do good and be true to himself so that if there was another chance of rebirth, his situation at that time might be more acceptable.

'I better relax for an hour before checking out the confidential letter Liz mentioned. Because of being hibernated and those mysterious miraculous lights, the me of this world appeared to have extraordinary origins.'

After another hour, Cane weakly got up and sat in a wheelchair on standby. 'So, I guess feeling weak after hibernation is a natural effect since a wheelchair was prepared. I wonder when the Earth of my past life will have this level of technology.'

'Yes. Feeling weak is a natural body effect after a long period of hibernation. And the place that we are in is not called Earth anymore. Two hundred and sixty-nine years ago, it was renamed to New Earth by the Genetic Tower.'

'Thank you, Liz. But please don't say anything for now. I am a bit confused about a lot of things. I will adjust my mind and body first.', Cane replied helplessly.

While checking for clothes, he saw an overall suit with the last name Astro on it and put it on afterward. It might be prepared for him or could be from his father or someone else, but he did not mind that. At the time, he had no recollection of his parents from this life, so he did not know what to feel about them yet.

As expected, putting on the suit was a struggle. But his body seemed to gain more energy as time passed, so he persevered, or else he would remain naked and cold.

Cane was still not able to walk when he tried, so by the use of the wheelchair, he arrived in front of the scanner that Liz mentioned and scanned his eyes.

'Accessing data. Please put your right hand on the platform to verify.', Liz's robotic voice sounded.

He placed his right hand on the platform that was flashing with green light.

'Verification complete.'

Cane expected to be greeted with a lot of folders containing complicated stuff, but the only thing shown on the monitor was a single video.

He quickly told Liz to play it.

'Son. If you see this video, then it means that you are alive. Your mother and I made a grave mistake in the world. But you are just an innocent child to be implicated. We do not expect you to understand right away, but always know that we did this for your sake. We don't have much time now. Always remember to never trust anybody. Do not allow anyone to examine your body. In particular, do not trust the Green God Company. If we are to make it out alive here, we will come back for you. Just know that we love you so much.', said the man who called himself Cane's father.

'(Coughing blood!) I am so sorry, son. I wish that I could have spent more time with you. But we don't have much time.', said the woman who claims she was Cane's mother while being held by the man.

'We may be sinners. But we truly love you. We tried to prepare everything for you. There is a notebook inside the safe below your capsule. You just need to drop your blood on the lid and it will open. Live a good life, son.'

The video ended. Cane was speechless after watching the video. He just recently realized that warm tears streamed down his face.

Based on what he just watched, Cane suspected that whatever his parents did in the past was the reason that led him to be hibernated. He guessed that with the advanced technology that this world had 270 years ago, a simple case of cancer or flesh-eating bacteria could be cured in no time. He had a heavy feeling that this matter was connected to the three lights that almost killed him and then healed him a few hours ago.

'Just what's up with this world? I am hoping that I am not the only one alive when I get out.', he wished, because he knew a lot could happen within almost 270 years.

'Liz. Can you get current news from outside? Show me the map of the New Earth and where this bunker is located.', he told Liz.

While Liz was compiling all the news, she was already showing Cane the map of the New Earth, which made him gasp in shock.

'Just how did this bunker end up deep in the Baltic Sea?', he was in disbelief.

'Liz knows that this bunker was made by the Green God Company. This organization is very secretive but powerful. Don't worry, if you want to get out of here, there's an Air Cube that you can use.'

'Thanks, Liz. How about the news outside?'

I wish I could hibernate too! HAHAHA!
