Axe is a struggling novelist who stumbles upon an otherworldly online writing tool that would grant his desires to become the greatest author. Though he found it hard to believe, he fell at the hands of the website's temptation and imported his almost finished novel into the platform. After importing his work and making changes to his story, he drifted off to sleep and opened his eyes to find himself in the world of his own novel as an extra. Jan nodded, then his expression turned serious as he changed the topic.
"I never got to ask you this, but... during the lockdown, did you ever encounter a man in all black with a mask and sword?"
I assumed he was referring to 'Axel,' my mercenary persona. "Yeah," I nodded. "He was the one who gave me the bow earlier."
"Really?!"
Jan was getting excited over someone he didn't even know.
"I only caught a glimpse," I continued, "but he did end up defeating the other guy."
I shrugged, adding to the lie. "That guy had some intense aura if you ask me."
"He had a strong aura too?!" Jan leaned in closer with starry eyes.
"Yeah, aura," I replied, trying to keep my voice steady.
"He did some cool techniques with his sword. But after he defeated that large guy, he just... disappeared into thin air."
Jan's eyes were wide with awe.
