After importing his work and making changes to his story, he drifted off to sleep and opened his eyes to find himself in the world of his own novel as an extra. Gerrard rushed towards Valencia, concern etched across his face.
Then he froze and witnessed a sight that completely confused him.
As he observed Valencia's unconscious body, he saw tiny arcs of lightning that sparked every few seconds.

Gerrard was completely bewildered.
Slowly he approached her and extended his hand carefully towards Valencia's body.
CRACKLE!

His mind raced back to the years after his wife's passing, Valencia's unexplained sickness, the consultations with the best scientific minds... the answers they couldn't find.
