Axe is a struggling novelist who stumbles upon an otherworldly online writing tool that would grant his desires to become the greatest author. Though he found it hard to believe, he fell at the hands of the website's temptation and imported his almost finished novel into the platform. After importing his work and making changes to his story, he drifted off to sleep and opened his eyes to find himself in the world of his own novel as an extra. In a run-down apartment far from the Louvre, the flickering light of a CRT television cast long shadows.
Jasper stretched out on the stained sofa, stifling a yawn.
His meeting with Morwen still rattled him - the man's cold intensity and unpredictable nature were unsettling.
"Remember, Jasper,"
Morwen's voice echoed in his mind,
"During this attack, the worst that could happen is the interference of Visionary Syndicate. If it comes to it, save yourself. Leave the experiment to their attacks and get out."
Morwen's chilling tone sent a shiver down Jasper's spine.
"—Another thing, Jasper. You must break the stone's emitters. If you don't, you'll absorb all the negative mana. Might not be bad for you, but it won't do us any good if you can't control it."
Jasper felt strangely reassured by the harsh instructions.
