Chapter -9 Black market [4]

[3 days later]

"Huff...Huff."

I gasped for my breath as I looked around me. My jet black pants and green hoodie were drenched in blood and they were also a bit toren.

Danm it! I knew that I shouldn't have worn them and entered the dungeon. They are costly. 50 points wasted.

Around me were three dead bodies of leopards. I quickly stored them in my bag.

In these three days, I had killed 14 leopards. Even though it doesn't seem that high for someone who is still a star -1 hunter it was a big deal. Most People my age didn't even enter a -G dungeon.

And the fact that a single body of a rank E leopard could be sold for 20,000 points.

Why didn't I come to an E+ rank dungeon sooner?

Soon my eyes paused on the cave in front of me.

I quickly dashed towards it while keeping my guard up. It was good to be alert every time.

There should be a boss monster in this area…'

Staring at the dunes, I was almost certain a boss monster was going to be there.

Not only was the terrain here different compared to the other areas of the dungeon, but as I looked around I could see leopards and other monsters staying away from this place.

Suddenly a very strong pressure enveloped the whole area.

A three-headed white lion dashed towards me. Its claws looked like could tear through anything and right now those claws were speeding towards me.

I quickly activated [Dash] and dodged the strike by one millimeter. Mana accumulated on the tip of the sword as the speed of his strike increased by 20%.

A white arch was drawn on the leg of the lion by the tip of my sword which was followed by a dull metallic sound.

All I could do was bring a shallow mark on the skin of the lion. Killing it was impossible but that wasn't my goal anyway.

Mana once again accumulated on the tip of my sword as its speed increased once again.

-Spurt

This time I aimed for its eye and I successfully managed to injure him.

"That should be the spot," I muttered under my breath and dashed towards the cave.

The lion wasn't going to let me go and so it also followed me. It was an E+ boss monster due to which its speed was also very terrifying.

Mana once again accumulated on the tip of my sword and my body shot like an arrow toward the monster wide out which was open trying to eat me.

Once again blood splattered dyeing my vision in red blood.

A muffled scream could be heard.

'Shit! My mana is running out.'

I have to escape. Even though the monster was injured I didn't even think about killing it.

As I was speeding forward my eyes paused on a black crystal.

'Bingo. This is the place Bryan told me about.' I increased my speed and stretched my arm trying to reach out for it as soon as possible. Behind me was the boss monster trying to reach me.

I transferred all my mana into the crystal as my hand came in contact with it.

My whole body turned into several light particles as my consciousness slipped away.

"Huuuuaaaaaa!" I screamed as I woke up.

I quickly checked my items and fortunately, they were still there.

"So it is truly a double dungeon," I muttered.

I still remember that day when Bryan suddenly went missing for two months. he came back telling that he has found a treasure.

Looking at the pitch black castle which looked like a castle from medieval times my eyes sparkled.

"What Bryan said better be true and no exaggeration." I only hoped for one thing from the depth of my heart whatever he told me was not an exaggeration.

Slowly walking towards the black infrastructure, I warily glanced at my surroundings, but it was to no avail as everything around me was quiet.

Arriving in front of the large black castle, I warily placed my hand in front of its large wooden door that was at least five meters in height

I slowly and warily opened the door.

Thick black pillars that reached all the way to the ceilings appeared all over the massive hall, supporting the building. On the pillars, brightly lit torches were attached, illuminating the surroundings.

Everything looked exactly the same as Bryan's description.

I couldn't wait to explore this castle.

I followed the torches down the path, which eventually led me to a

large staircase leading upward.

I dashed through the stares and didn't really feel tired, however, it did feel like the stairs would go on forever and was wondering when they would end. Finally, the stairs had leveled out onto a platform and another large door could be seen.

It was the same size as the one at the entrance.

With a strong push, the doors opened. It wasn't as heavy as expected it.

Instead of lighting up a path, this time, the whole room was lit up. It was a fairly large square room but at the same time, it was completely filled with shelves.

Each shelf contained hundreds of books with each one of them being precious.

"Bingo."

They all were skill books. They were precious af.

Sadly a person could only learn three skills at each rank. This means three skills in star -1

Three in star -2 etc...

I didn't hesitate to empty my dimensional bag and fill it with the skill books.

"I should have bought a dimensional bag with higher space." I could only fit a hundred books in it.

And then I turned my head around to see if there is anything useful left and I found it.

Many mana plants were above rank D.

"Today is my lucky day." I dashed towards them. I even noticed a coffin but ignored it. I was busy devouring the mana fruits and using the mana plants which would help me in breaking through star -1. What I didn't notice was the lid of the coffin that was slightly trembling.
