Bloody perspectives

They walked hand in hand along the trail to the shed. After the steamy love making, they washed themselves under the waterfall cleaning the remaining blood stains on Daryns body from the touching and massaging to smooching and making out to another round of hammering.

Daryn had to munster a lot of self control to be able to stop touching his mate and leave the waterfall afraid she would get a cold.

Then he shape shifted to a huge black furred wolf in front of her and let her mount on him.

Within minutes he covered the distance to the path to the house then he shifted back not wanting to scare the shit out of his friend.

Now they walked the rest of the way back. Darla hooked their arms and rested her head on his shoulder. On his shoulder. Daryn kissed her hair.

"Darla"

"Hmm"

"Love i need to tell you something" Daryn stopped abruptly. Already having a vivid understanding of what the conversation was going to be about she folded her arms and looked at him sternly absolutely telling him she won't budge.

Daryn ran a hand in his hair. "We need to talk about this Darla" he said dryly.

"What is there to talk about, i told you it's final I am going with you"

"And i want you to come with me but_ Selene says its not a good idea. She refuses and when looking at things from that perspective_"

"What bloody perspective Daryn, that i want to join my mate in fighting his battles, to have his back, tell me is that wrong?"

"No it's not but... i think you are ill equipped for this"

"How am i "I'll equipped". You should know i have fought tougher battles before. This won't be my first"

"Darla, this is way different than our hunts...please love reconsider. I can't afford to loose you to this" his eyes becoming moist.

Darla paused, then continued walking to the house. She did not say anything further but it was obvious to Daryn she did not agree either. She walked ahead anger in every step as she muttered things under her breath in her anger and only stopping to check if Daryn was following her.

They both walked the rest of the trails home in silence.

At the moon palace a certain goddess was not pleased.

"How dare she!. What in hades does she know!" Selene spewed cusses as she watched what transpires between her son and his mate.

"Haaa." The goddess sighed then returned to looking into her river. "Mates do foolish things knowingly." She chuckled. "This only means she's true...but how do i make the damned girl understand"

She clicked her fingers as an idea crossed her mind. "I see the couple needs a visit"

She sighed again. "To show myself for such trivial matters....but, if that is what will let the girl let my son go then no problem" she tore through space and walked into the cut not forgetting to seal her godly aura to the amount a mortal can withstand.

"Hey Daryn were did you go last night?"

Daryn froze on hearing that question from his friend. He exchanged glances with Darla before he tried to answer.

"Uh i_"

"Damn i was knocked out cold i can't remember anything after my third cup but i think i finished the whole bottle only to wake up to find Darla rushing out to look for you"

"Yeah i_i felt like trailing a kill to shake off the drowsiness that morning"

"Huh you got drunk too" he laughed "and you claim you can't get drunk" Darla joined the laugh.

Daryns face twisted. "I never said i can't get drunk....i just have high tolerance to it besides what i drank was way more than the three cups you took and blanked out"

Eric kept on laughing as he said. "Atleast you got drunk" Daryn frowned more but eventually joined them to laugh.

Both men laughed for sometime jesting and mocking themselves at the way they dozed of the night before after getting themselves drunk...well atleast one of them actually did get drunk. Darla just laughed as she made them dinner.

"Maybe we should make tonight like yesterday's? I did sleep well i must admit" Eric said

"Lets s_" Daryn stopped mid sentence as he felt a familiar pull to something...or someone. He turned his head to the door but no one was there. He laughed to his friend as he stood up and started walking to the door. "Thats a fine idea my friend afterall i get to see your drunk face again...what a sight" Daryn laughed harder.

"Baa. It doesn't mean i won't see you shaking yourself. Darla will bring us the same strong brew she got last night. Then we will see how resilient you are."

"We'll see about that" by now Daryn was already at the door. "Darla i'll go check the perimeter before we call it a night. No ones gonna be going out again tonight anyway" Darla nodded to him still trying to regain her composure. He laughed once before exiting the doorway.

He could still hear her laughter as he circled the house heading for the small garden not believing his senses. His veins vibrated tickling him lightly as he got closer to the garden acting like a compass to the source of his existence.

"Happy to see you can locate me even without seeing me" came the words as he entered the garden.

"It should not be a surprise" he said turning to face his mother donned in a white dress and a small cresent diadem on her head her hairs dancing free in the airy night acting like night shadows to her beautiful simple frame just like the moon she was. "What brings you here mother"

Selene scoffed. "You talk like i am not supposed to visit my own child. Sometimes you seem to forget i brought you to this world. Anyworld to be exact. Those women who bore you physically were simply surrogates nothing else. MY BLOOD still runs in your veins." She said getting agitated.

Daryn groaned pinching the mid of his brows. "I know ma." He sighed then reduced his tone. "I'm just surprised because you didn't inform me plus, if you usually needed anything from me the mental link was enough so, what is different ma"

"What is different?!" Selene barked. "What is different is that i am pissed. Angry. That's the difference. Your bonehead of a mate has annoyed me."

Daryn growled. "Careful mother don't call my mate a bone head."

"You dare growl at me boy" suddenly the shadows behind Selene began to swirl. Converting to the sinister images of the night as her anger spiked. The calm and lenient goddess was gone.

It didn't take long for Daryn to notice the creepy hands reaching out from behind his mother to claw at him did he discover how angry she was. He controlled his own anger before things got ugly.

"I am sorry mother" he said bowing his head. Afterall that was how she should be treated. No mortal dared to thwart or challenge her. He truely enjoying privileges as her son. "I should not have let anger get the best of me. I was wrong please forgive me. Forgive this careless son" he said not meeting her eyes.

The goddess anger settled and she sent back the darkness. She looked at her boy and her smile returned to her face. "You are careless i agree. To have let her see you change last night and again at your steaming waterfall."

Daryn's felt his ears catch fire. He did not meet her eyes trying to hide his embarrassment. "Oh, y_you saw that?"

Selene laughed and waved her hand as if to brush it off before her son choked from his embarrassment.

"I wanted t_"

"Daryn food is ready. Aren't you done checking the perimeter. Eric and i have been wai..." Daryn stilled as Darla walked into the garden staring straight at Selene. His mother only stared back showing tender smiles to his mate. No one would believe it was the same angry Selene that was about to unleash the sinister hands of darkness some seconds ago.

"Hey Daryn, won't you introduce me to your mate?" Selene asked pointedly.

"Oh right." Daryn scratched his chin as he began introductions. "Uh mother; meet Darla my mate. Darla love, meet the moon goddess Selene...my mother."

Finally.
