Unexpected
Today was the day Ares had promised to come around to train me to see how physically fit I was in combat. I was excited because that meant I would be seeing his face again. And better still, he would tell me more of what I need to find out since Hades finds it hard to do so. All I needed was the perfect conversation to start with.
Hades and I saw each other more frequently after he gave the unannounced apology. I still get goosebumps whenever I recall that moment. Having him so close to me was only something I could be delusional about.
"I'm sorry, I raised my hands at you."
I could still remember the apology he whispered in my ears.
"I am ashamed of my actions more than you know. I have never raised a finger on a woman before. It was unethical for me to do that to you, Aurora. I am deeply sorry."
