Chapter 38: Torture makes sense

I’m confused. I don’t know what’s really going on here. Before, I at least knew what it was. I didn’t like it; I wanted it to end, but at least I understood. It was all very clear, very black and white. It was terrible, it was awful, and I would have done anything to make it stop, but at least I understood it.

I don’t understand it anymore. I have no idea what’s really going on here. I used to know. In a way, I kind of miss it. I kind of miss understanding.

It used to make sense.
