HERO'S JOURNEY BEGINS

AUTHOR'S NOTE

HEY THE STORY ISN'T DEAD, I REPEAT THE STORY ISN'T DEAD. I apologize for taking so long to update. I had so much going on and just man been a bad month. Next update should be next Friday. It won't be as long as this chapter but I hope you enjoy it. Overly send power stones and likes. Also any negativity(that doesn't offer how I can do better) I will just delete i dont need some of the things that people were saying.

Izumi's POV

Izumi began to approach the doors that was another part of her journey, she couldn't help but think about how it took to get here. All the bullying and being alone, being known as a nobody and yet she prevailed. The last time all the nights she cried herself to sleep after her mom just ignored her after asking if she could be a hero. That's when her dream began to get crushed all she wanted was to be like everyone else. To have the ability to use a quirk yet she was an empty shell. Clenching her fist the last year changed her life; she almost did a 180 from who she used to be in terms of being a useless child. Now at 17 she has a quirk and an actual friend she cares about. Her mom is even happier since she doesn't need to worry about Izumi as much. Gazing upon U.A. from the outside it looks like a mini city on its own. Her eyes sparkled with joy finally reaching her dream. People speed past her all ready for their own journey into being heroes. Grabbing her book bag straps, she walked forward. She tripped over a step and the ground began to catch up to her. This is it, right here is where she gives up on her hero's journey. Already falling before even making it inside, when suddenly her movement was dropped.

"Gosh I'm so sorry for using my quirk on you but I didn't want you to fall. We all need good luck today", A bubbly voice exclaimed as she straightened Izumi. The girl was shorter than Izumi standing at around 5 '1. She had decently long hair going down to her shoulders, some of it falling in front of her face, the color being dark brown. 

Izumi began to turn red in embarrassment as she tried to muster up an apology. Noting the casual way the girl used her powers. It's crazy to think that for once people are being nice to her. While life got easier, some of the scars of her early years still hurt her.

"Move out the way shitty Deku",She heard from a rough voice before being shoved to the side roughly. As Kaachan quickly made his way past both of the girls, a huge scowl on his face. Other than some muscle gain he still looked relatively the same as the last time they talked a year ago. The girl had a puzzled look on her face before quickly shaking it off and turning back to Izumi.

"Welp he was rude, hmm welp I'll see you inside! I wish you the best of luck", The strange girl exclaimed before rushing off past through the doors. Seemingly to make her way inside.

Izumi finally mustered up the courage to go inside the building following up behind the girl who stopped her from falling. She couldn't help but be excited at the fact she finally had the chance to meet someone nice. She happily smiled as she followed the signs leading to the exam room. Izumi quickly found her seat which happened to be right next to Kaachan. The people who registered for the test were given a number tied to their name so all know what to expect. It gave information on what test was being taken and other important things like being able to make it past the security for the day. 

Letting out a huge sigh she set her book bag under the desk. Kaachan didn't glance her way at all, just settled for looking forward as the room began to fill up. She noticed that the desk to the left of her was empty, which means Ollie-Kun still hadn't made it here yet. 

Izumi didn't understand why he told her that he'd meet her here. She wanted to wait for him but made her go without him. Honestly it felt leaving without him after spending pretty much every day with him either helping people or cleaning the beach. If it wasn't for his belief in her maybe she wouldn't be here now. His standing up for her and being there for her, made her feel very special. Yet he just brushed her off today while it hurt somewhat. The lights began to dim when a man came up on stage. Dressed in mostly black with his blonde hair slicked back. He was holding a microphone and had what looked like a loud speaker on the front. 

"What's Up U.A candidates! Thanks for tuning in to me, your school Dj. Come on let me hear yeah", A man on stage shouted out for everyone. Yet everyone just stayed silent. "Keeping it Mellow huh. That's fine, I'll skip straight to the main show."

Izumi began to hyperventilate as this was one of her favorite heroes, the voice hero himself President Mic. She listens To him on a daily basis, loves his voice and overall enthusiasm of which he presents himself. 

So when he shouts, "I CAN'T HEAR YOU." 

Izumi jumped up, putting her leg on the desk and replied, "YEAH!"

Everyone just grew silent and stared at her. Kaachan just said stupid deku. Izumi turned red as she sat down embarrassed. As President Mic was excited with the enthusiasm of someone here.

POV CHANGE

Oliver

Thomas now Oliver was running late for the testing portion of the exams. He is fully embracing his identity as Oliver after spending the past year with Izumi. Meeting All Might changed his perspective on the world. Especially now realizing this is his life. Oliver(the original) won't be back and wishing for a life that's gone won't help. Izumi and her mom really helped with opening eyes and helping people. Growing All Mights brand even more with the mysterious new students. Yes we even wore masks when being seen with All Might but our identities stayed secret. 

Speaking of Izum, he decided to let Izumi go first because he wanted to surprise and her mom after the test. Oliver talked his dad into buying them a bigger house in exchange for passing the test as a hero. It was an interesting conversation but it felt like his dad was distracted compared to usual. Though after his mom died, his father became more distant. Moving to this town didn't help matters either. 

Quickly exiting the train station Oliver was only a twenty minute walk from campus of U. A. Finally on his journey to becoming something special, he wants to be the change in the world. He knows this body was originally quirkless and maybe the so-called wishes he was told about maybe took effect. Yet it means nothing now to him as he wants to be great. 

As he's walking past an alley way he hears loud crying and some snuffling. Knocking it out of his thoughts he knows he'll not make it time if he goes to check on whatever is crying. Yet being a hero he can't ignore if someone got mugged or something bad happened. Highly unlikely being close to U.A but in his old world criminals used to set up close to police stations because they'd be less likely to check close to home first. Knowing he might regret this he decides to go into the alley with the light being somewhat blocked by his form he got closer to the noise he could see a small girl crying. As Oliver approached he accidentally stepped on a can causing a loud noise to be heard. Causing the girl to look up in fear at him. 

"Please don't hurt me anymore", she cried out as her cries got loud and she was beginning to back away. "I don't want to go back please"

"Shshsh child it's okay, I promise I'm a hero.", Oliver replied. 

At the word hero she began to perk and stopped moving away from him. Her eyes went large at him. "I'm here to help, I'm a student of All Might", he started before being stopped after being slammed into by the child. The child held onto his leg hard as she cried. 

He finally got the child to hold his hand after much coaxing and promises that she'll not be forced to go back. Glancing down at the child he couldn't help but be angry at what was down. She was all dirty with bandages around her arms and legs. With a huge rugged t-shirt covering her body. She had green with smalls horns. She looked no older than maybe 9-10 years old. 

It was kind of sad knowing what this child has been through. Oliver knows who Eri is from the anime. Though she wasn't supposed to appear, Deku goes to the NightEyes organization. It seems the knowledge Oliver knows about the anime is slightly different from what is going on in the world he's in. It's also very troubling Eri trusted him right away after just mentioning the hero, maybe she went through alot more in this world than what happened in the anime world. Oliver felt like he was forgetting something but just forgot about it as he guided the child slowly out of the alley. After reaching the entrance, standing on the sidewalk he debated on what to do. Should he call the police or All Might there are so many choices he can make and none can be the right one. Eri started shaking badly near him as he felt just an evil presence begin to slowly approach from behind him. Sweat began to form on his head as even he could tell this person isn't someone normal.

"See that kid behind you boy, yeah I need you to get the fuck out of the way", a man said who was larger. He had short blonde spikey hair and stood around 6'6 talk. He was wearing a red muscle t-shirt with loose fitting black pants.

NAME - Goto Imasuji

Villain ALIAS - Muscular 

AGE - 26

QUIRK - Muscle Augmentation 

BIO - Goto has a very sadistic, brutal, and bloodthirsty personality. He openly admits that he wants to use his Quirk freely to kill. 

Eri just backed away into me as I read the stats that he had and it scared me way more than he'd like to admit. Each step he took it felt like mini earthquakes yet he knew he couldn't back down. If not for Eri he would've boosted his speed and got out of here. Oliver knew he had to save her if not for the abuse she was dealt, then for the fact she was an innocent child yet to experience the joy of the world around her.

"Look boy, I don't care if I kill you. So I'll give you the count of three to just give the kid to me.", Muscular said. Before he let out a savage smile. "Please let it reach three. I want to add another kill to my list."

Without thinking Oliver pushed Eri back into the Alley before punching Muscular into the face. Yet it did nothing to him, Muscular didn't even flinch as he glared directly into Oliver's face. Oliver quickly jumped back as his hands began to shake. Oliver knew how strong Muscular was. It took Deku using 100% in the anime to even match him. He knows he's not fast enough to even run away at this point; the only thing he can do is try to hold out for as long as he can. When he dropped his cell phone he made sure to make a call to All Might hopefully he'll think something is wrong. Oliver though had to worry about surviving as long as possible but the amount of heat radiating off Muscular made him freeze.

"Know what Kid you got moxie attacking first good job.", Muscular exclaimed as he began to change and become even bigger. His muscles formed a huge shell around his body. To Oliver it was like watching Eddie Brock turn into venom. Oliver began to slowly back up as he began to grow scared of this villain. Oliver knew he was out of his league and started to shake. 

"nOw bE prepareD to DIE", letting out a roar he ran faster than Oliver can keep up with before grabbing him by the throat and slamming him on the ground.

Oliver couldn't even gasp with all the pain he was feeling before being thrown through a shop front. All the people inside started to scream in terror as glass rained down on them. Some were screaming to call the police. Oliver felt his body was sore all over the place, groaning as he started to slowly stand up. His jacket was ripped along with his pants, he legit wore his nice outfit today but no it got ruined do this asshat. Reaching his feet he glanced around and realized he crashed through a bakery. He didn't have a lot of time before his senses warned him that something was coming, trusting it he dodged to the side as a punch with great force behind it where his head was. The force so strong took out the back of the bakery luckily people weren't staying behind there.

Not having enough time to counter attack, his quirk alerted him that he was attacking again and ducked under a grab. Muscular then kicked Oliver fast enough that he didn't have time to be alerted to it. Oliver went flying through the store front landing in the middle of the street as the building with the bakery began to fall. Cracks appeared where Oliver landed, Muscular quickly made it there standing over Oliver.

"See boy you could've just handed me the girl now you're lying in pain. Gotta admit though you're one tough bastard even with the damage I gave you, you haven't bled yet.", Muscular taunted as he began to stop on Oliver making even greater cracks in the road. 

"YOU DAMN HERO TYPES ALWAYS THINKING SAVE THE DAY" As he kept stomping on his chest, "DON'T GIVE ASHIT ABOUT ANYONE, I TAKE YOUR SILENCE AS YOU AGREEING". Using his quirk he caused his muscles to grow like whips to pick up Oliver. Oliver was breathing heavily, his arms bent the wrong way, his clothes in tatters yet barely hanging on consciously.

"Listen kid I got a job to do so i'll leave you be to heal and next time we meet you can give me a better fight", Muscular told him.

Oliver in a low voice replied "Fuck You". Muscular just got smirked as he grew the muscles on his right before punching Oliver force in the face. Sending Oliver flying back in the alley where Eri was hiding. Hitting the side of the building breaking off part of the force he was launched.

Oliver was under intense pain, with all of his training and has never felt as weak as he has now. Even after all the training that shitty All Might gave him he froze against the first villain he fought. His body he knew was broken or at least his ribs were as breathing felt more like a chore. Oliver felt his vision began to blacken as he started to fade. Realizing that maybe his dream was just that, a dream. 

"Is this all you got Thomas?"He heard a voice question in his head. "Is this the greatest of your will, after all the training you did? Honing our body, learning our quirk you give up after you felt your first taste of killing intent. You froze like a coward Thomas who was finding the drive to save this world so you wouldn't have to lose anyone else. Is the extent of what you can do?" The voice ended sounded disappointed. It was the original Oliver, who stopped before continuing. "I give you two things that will help, like I said I'll stand by what you said. You'll find that it'll be easier to sense vibrations and second welp I'll give you the weapon of your soul. Hopefully then you'll train to grow even stronger."

Oliver felt the voice withdraw from his head as he felt a surge of energy begin to flow through him. His vision began to clear as he saw a green hair standing above him. "Please don't die hero, not for me. I'm scared, and I need you". Eri cried out. 

Oliver's bones began to pop back into place as things all the injuries just faded as if it didn't happen. A bright light was shining in the air as he began to get to his feet, he felt energized as if he could run a mile without tiring. Eri clung to his neck as she kept crying and didn't have the heart to tellThe pressure grew even more as a weapon appeared in his hand in the shape of a scythe. It wasn't a normal scythe either, he knew where this came from. It was the same as the one from it was the same scythe Hidan used from Naruto. Oliver hopes it'll work like a zanpakuto, but that's for future reference now it's time to get serious. Holding Eri in one hand and his scythe in the other he began to make his way out the alley.

"See I knew there was more to you, and look you brought me the kid. So what's it going to be do I have to dirty that pretty little face again, or are you going to hand her over.", Muscular yelled out.

Ignoring Muscular he could see that the entire area was closed off with police surrounding the two of them. Thinking quickly he set Eri on the ground and pushed her towards the police officers, which she quickly ran too. Looking back at Muscular he could feel the vibrations going around him fast. Faster than All Might going around 35% in strength which is why Oliver couldn't counter him before. Now he isn't scared and could actually fight.

"Oi you little bastard don't ignore me what you think healing up will change things, see i tried to be nice. nOw iTS TiMe fOr YoU to DIE!" Muscular shouted out before clearing the distance between them.

Oliver used his scythe to block the punch, a big shockwave came from the clash shattering the windows around them. Oliver sent out a roundhouse kick which Muscular easily blocked.

"Is that all you got? Honestly I might be bragging a bit, but you seem a lot weaker than those fights I've seen against All Might."Muscular taunts as he began to laugh as he used his quirk to make him even bigger than before.

Oliver stayed quiet as realized he'd have to exchange a little bit longer before he can begin to sync with Muscular than he'll be able to actually do damage. Now he has a weapon that is able to withstand his sound techniques so it's time to use one. Muscular seeing Oliver distracted tried to throw another punch and though Oliver actually jumped flipped over Muscular completely. "Rakshasa's Claw ", Oliver shouted as he started using the scythe to slice at the air. Five slashes went flying at Muscular

Muscular had no time to dodge, he just used his muscle to block as Oliver fired them quickly as he was flipping over him. Smoke rose as when he landed but he knew that it did little damage as he went to his next attack. He slowly cut at the air as cracks began to appear with his scythe, near the end of the motion he let one hand off the scythe and he used a small sound blast launching the shards of air towards Muscular. "Lightning Shower Rain", Oliver shouted out. 

Everything happened within five seconds, the police couldn't even keep up with how fast everything was going. All they heard was two names shouted then a loud explosion. Not only causing some of the police cars to get flipped but the crowd of people to be forced to fall down too. The level of this fight was more than they could handle, and luckily it seems some of the heroes are on the way.

POV CHANGE

ALL MIGHT

A couple of minutes ago All Might received a call from Oliver which was strange. All Might didn't tell him that he was going to be at the U.A monitoring the test. He truly wanted to see how good each student was. Well not good but he just wanted to see the fruits of labor that they went through to get here. Even being able to face him at 50% of strength not many people can say they can do that. All the other teachers began to fill into the room as the testing was going to get started soon. He quickly put his phone down, forgetting why he took it out in the first place.

POV CHANGE

IZUMI

Izumi was fully nervous as she started stretching and warming up with all the other contestants. They were all deep in the school at one of the test sites. The door was closed so everyone just stood around either warming up, stretching, or in some cases just talking. She was worried about Ollie-Kun so she sent a message and tried calling. Yet she got nothing back from him which is unlike Ollie. He usually replies to her quickly and answers after three rings. She hopes that he can do a make-up exam if he can't make it today. Getting out of her thoughts she started to look around more.

She noticed Kaachan was just scowling at everything and just being his normal self. Izumi already finished warming up her muscles so was just looking around seeing all of the other people with quirks. U.A went all out by offering all the students the same uniforms that are used for particles around here. Though she wishes it was a little bit bagger overall it fit very comfy. It was amazing seeing some of them like there was a really short guy with purple balls on his head. Another person had a bird face with a shadow following him. There was another person who kept growing her hands randomly, which to Izumi was so cool. Then she noticed the girl who saved her from falling. 

Izumi began to make her way over there before a person stood in her way. She had to look up to see his face since he was taller than her and he looked annoyed. He had short spiky black hair along with glasses. He was wearing the provided uniform like all the people taking the test today. 

"She looks like she's focusing on the trails ahead, what do you think you're going to do? Distract her and ruin her chances to succeed", the guy asked in a stern manner

Izumi backed away, stammering apologies trying to tell him that's not how it actually was but the guy just walked away. With bummed out Izumi a little bit since she's truly here to do her best on the path to becoming the number one hero. Izumi couldn't help but feel everyone wrote her off as it seems they're looking down on her.

"THEY'RE NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL BATTLES, RUN RUN RUN LITTLE LISTENERS", President Mic shouted out 

No one noticed the clock was already down from the initial 7 minutes they had to go into the city. Izumi was already moving fast past everyone as started going through the city. She found a one pointer which she easily destroyed, but she felt the ground shake badly. Izumi just thought it was someone's quirk and just kept looking for robots. Also stopping to help save others who looked in need of saving. Honestly it was easier than what she was expecting.

Pov Change

Oliver

Two people stood in the middle of the street, each punch stronger than the last as the traded blows. Sometimes blocking, sometimes dodging though in most cases both of the punches landed. The police long since evacuated this part of the town because of how much damage it was taking. Buildings laid damaged all around them yet both of these titans kept going. 

One of those people was the young boy named Oliver, fighting to save a girl's life. To save a lot of future issues, to prove to himself that hero's can exist. Oliver forgoes his scythe earlier in the fight as he's used to fighting with a staff and not extra weight of the blades. Especially the one the size of the one he was given, it'll take time to get used to. He decided to rely on what he learned from All Might.

The other person trading punches was a titan of a person, almost as strong as All Might in his later years(post injuries). Muscular had a smile on his face as the damage from the battle began to show on him. On both of them with blood appearing on both of their faces. Though in the case of Muscular he felt weaker than usual especially since he had to focus to keep his quirk working. His quirk felt as if it was weaker than usual which shouldn't be the case. 

Oliver has been using his ability to sync with others to reverse Musculars quirk which was tough because of the control Muscular had. All he could do was weaken his overall strength instead of reverting the entire thing. Even using sound and vibrations to augment his strength and speed Muscular could keep up. It was kind of nerve wrecking knowing that his top speed was on par with this villain. Oliver realized how much more training he needs to do to beat these titans. His ability warned him over another hit, which he countered unleashing First Form: Roar. Sending Muscular back only a couple feet.

"Honestly kid you're good", Muscular stated before letting out a laugh before standing straight up. "Crazy you're not even a hero yet"

"What can I say, I just drink plenty of juice", Oliver replied as he tried to catch his breath.

"Damn the mission this fight, I haven't felt this much pain in awhile", Muscular exclaimed before charging full speed at Oliver.

Oliver threw up his hands as he was going to send a sound blast in high frequency at Muscular, yet something weird happened. Muscular went through Oliver causing Muscular to end up crashing through one of the already fallen buildings. Oliver was shocked as this is one of the techniques he's been wanting to do along with learning to teleport and even open portals. Rocks began to shift as Muscular removed himself from the rubble.

"New technique kid, you're approving the longer we fight it's interesting. Makes me want to fight you more.", Muscular shared.

"I guess, not everyone can be as badass as I am.", Oliver chirped. Muscular snorted as he made his way over to him.

Oliver got into his fight stance until his senses started going haywire as something quickly made his way towards them. Based on the aura it seemed it was All Might, finally making his way here Oliver has been holding out but he's drained the extra burst of energy starting to fade from him. All Might suddenly appeared in front of Oliver and based on the amount of anger All Might was radiating he was not happy.

"THERE'S NO NEED TO FEAR BECAUSE I'M HERE", All Might growled out. Muscular didn't hesitate to take his phone(how it survived Oliver wouldn't know).

"This fight isn't over, kid just know my new job is to kill you. Damn what I was told otherwise I don't care if Sensei will be pissed", before a portal opened up and he stepped in without looking. Keeping his eyes gazed on Oliver the entire time with a smirk. Oliver just gave him the middle finger. As All Might tensed after hearing the word sensei. Oliver finally collapsed as the energy ran out and everything went dark.

POV CHANGE

IZUMI

It's been a couple days since Izumi took the test for the U.A. by herself, and you'd think she'd be happy. She got to see some of her favorite heroes and her dream school U.A. yet she's sitting in the hospital wing of U.A. staring at the body of Ollie as he laid motionless other than the small rise and fall of his chest. While she was taking the test she, he was literally fighting for his life. Also the life of a young girl that refused to leave his side. The child happened to be curled up in the chair next to Izumi. Her mom left a little bit ago to grab food and to bring clothes to her since she has refused to move since she got the news at the end of the mock battle. Izumi blames herself since they're supposed to be a team. Oliver legit only cared about being Izumi's sidekick and making a mark on the world. Always pushing her to be better, yet she left without him. Even when she sensed that something was wrong she ignored it and just kept going.

The door creaked open as someone began to make her way over to where Ollie was laying. Assuming it was her mother she didn't say anything, just kept staring at Ollie's sleeping face. Tears began to flow down her face as she couldn't stop the way she was feeling.

"You know he wouldn't want you to be sad right now", a man's voice stated. It startled Izumi as she didn't realize it wasn't her mother in the room As she quickly whipped her eyes.

"Sorry sir, but who are you?", she whispered out. Her tone is low to not wake the sleeping child. As Izumi turned to face the man. He is a tall, odd-looking, middle-aged man with a prominently long, pointed nose and intruding chin, as well as small, dark eyes. He has short, orange-brownish hair, set noticeably far up his forehead, a widow's peak pointing downwards in the center, and he wears it swept back around his head. He doesn't have any visible eyebrows, and also possesses two dark moles on the left of his forehead

"Sorry I didn't mean to startle you, I'm Rikiya Yotsubashi, father of that boy laying in the bed", Rikiya replied.

Honestly Izumi couldn't fathom how this man could be Oliver's father. They looked so different.
